To put a number on it, Hobi had 8 bars and Cole had THIRTY TWO FULL BARS. That is such mad respect from Hobi to let Jcole own this track as a FEATURED ARTIST on his OWN song and not to mention it’s his last project for a hot minute.

And also I feel reborn about Jcole’s verse lol that shit was rejuvinating

The story telling of J-hope journey in the video was very well made. On the street with the kid version of J-hope dressed up like J.Cole dapping each other up. The different interpretations of J.Cole lyrics throughout with J-hope dancing. Taking the train from one station and coming out at the J-station. Then finally to the rooftop coming full circle with J-Hope meeting his idol he was inspired by and ending the video the way it started just showing love. Really enjoyed the barriers being broken with these kind of collabs.

No cause this not even Kpop at this point, it's straight up Hiphop and I loved every second of it
  • @jaye61970
J.Cole doesn't seem like the type of artist to do a feature strictly for the money and lord knows he doesn't need or chase clout, so I think he was genuinely interested in making this collab happen. I'm glad he did, as the song is immaculate and a lovely send off for Hobi as he heads to the military.
  • I love it. He puts j.cole up high on the roof, and him on the streets and underground in the subway. showing homage to everything that made him, and in the end, rises up to meet j.cole on the roof 😭😭😭😭
  • on his live yesterday, hobi said that him and cole exchanged phone numbers and have been talking since. and after filming the mv hobi texted him saying how its such an honor working with him and cole sent him a long paragraph text. this is so fucking cool i feel so happy for hobi

It reminds me of how joon got Erykah Badu to feature on Yun. I think BTS members sincerity towards their music and craft really speaks to legends like Erykah and J-Cole.
  • @barbo7385
I’m glad J. Cole got a proper verse… really wasn’t expecting it to go on for that long but it was perfect - this colab was elite 🔥
  • J. Cole and j-hope, two incredible artists merge to give us this gift.
  • @ytd1405
15:04 Ous you're right about the Hope world and Cole world part..
These were Hobi's lyrics in BTS's song ‘Hip hop phile’ :
"Hope hope world, before I built my own world, there was Cole world
When he lit up Friday night,
I became more inspired to write my own music"
(Friday Night was a reference to J Cole's mixtape Friday Night Lights. According to Hobi's latest documentary, he mentioned the same mixtape when he met J cole in Lollapalooza and told him he's his muse and that he loves this mixtape and even mentioned the song "Higher" from the same mixtape..)

The fact that the title use "with" instead of "feat." shows us the deeper connection between those two great artists that's why J. Cole's part feels like he pours so much of his soul and take much bigger portion in this song than just typical featuring. Oh i love this song sm and so happy for hobi that he came this far and being such a successful fan 💜
  • I’m from NC so you know Cole my favorite, but this literally got me smiling ear to ear. Black culture and Korean culture are sharing more and more and it’s beautiful.
  • @rfinney1991
I lost my mind the first time I heard this song. J-Cole is insanely talented with his wordplay and having J-Hope not only kill his own verses but ALSO dance to J-Cole's verse? Speechless.
  • Oh my god yes!!! Another j-hope bias joins our club! I love all BTS members as each one brings a unique element to the group, but there’s just something special about j-hope. He takes everything up another notch. Gifted artist.
  • That handshake was definitely a "thank you for everything" "you did good bro" handshake. That symbolized a culmination of years of j-hope being inspired and just doing his very best to be someone he could be proud of and his heros would someday respect and that finally coming to fruition.
  • @thehobilab
Hello @FOSquadKpop! The "j" in Hobi's stage name actually comes from his family name "Jeong." Thus, his lyrics on 'Pandora's Box' — "j to the hope, Jeong to the huimang, Jack in the box." Hope that helps. Thanks for the love you give to j-hope and the rest of the Bangtan boys.
  • Hello everyone l wanted to thank you fo squad kpop for bringing good vibes and positive energy to their reactions
  • I think the closest song that comes to this is RM's and Wale's song called "Change"...but other than that I don't think K-Pop has gotten something this big. I'm just happy I'm able to witness it! 💜💜
  • @the.gr8danes
I love that you played ARSON 🔥in the beginning because I think it heavily related to the theme of J. Coles verse (especially about passing off the crown, wondering if he should stay a bit longer) was about him contemplating within himself about his career path and SHOULD he move on/extinguish the flames, OR continue to burn even brighter as Hobi put it. Powerful stuff, still can’t believe it’s real 💜
