Well-made, delivered quickly, and easy to install with Fastly.Cool . I may be imagining it, but it seems quieter than the 14 year-old unit that I pulled out. Of course it was noisy at the end due to failed bearings, so hard to compare.

Tip from another video: be sure to use galvanized screws or stainless steel screws so that they don’t rust.

Did you install the vents on the front and the back of the house at 4 ft apart
  • It pretty easy to add a bead of silicone around the edge of the vent before you install it.  That will eliminate the bow that you have in your vent and also stop insects from coming in.  You also want to use pan head screws, #6 3/4" is plenty.  Also, the direction of the louvers is important.  There is a lot of things you left out or did incorrectly.

Sorry to be so negative but those tiny vent can get ants, roaches, spiders can i get another idea? For my case?
  • Do they sell covers for this kind of vents, where i live temperatures can drop below zero , and I don't want my attic too cold. Do they sell covers for this vent for the cold months???.

I noticed as you were screwing down vent that you ended up with a gap between soffit and vent. I'm having the same problem and  wondering what it is that I'm doing wrong to cause the gaps and preventing the vent to lay flat against soffit . The outer edges of the paint clogged and bent vents I'm replacing are even and flat against the soffit. While I'm not obsessive compulsive about appearance... I am worried about dirt dobbers.....bees and other insects getting into my attic through these gaps around the edges..

you just made it possible for bees or hornets or whatever kind of bug to make itself at home....I would suggest using fiberglass screen between the vent....
  • thx for the helpful video ! One of my rooms (walk-in closet) gets too cold. It does not have a ventialtion opening for heater and part of the reason is that.. But I checked the attic and and saw that 1. it has this opening that I can see from far (at approx 8 seconds in the video in my comment), is that vent opening ? or is that opening something which should not be there ? any thoughts please ? 2. I see a few places where there is no insulation...(28 seconds to 45 seconds in the video), is that also a reason why it could be cold ? https://youtu.be/aJyex7nT8Jk Thanks for any tips or suggestions on what could possibly be wrong
