    Thanks for the information, another great video. By the way, here in California the water heater must be secured with straps. I have found that most of the time the p-trap on the unit is so the unit won’t suck air in through it. So on the manufacturer installation instructions it should tell us that both are required. I did not know about the GFCI or insulation on the cold line. You make great videos with tons of useful information. Thank you again.

    are you allowed to directly connect pex to a water heater or does your area require 18" metal/braided pipe?

    It is not a water heater in the wrong place. It is a wrong water heater in the right place . In warm climate this is the best place for a water with biuld in heat pump
