Two feature films, one musical, ten albums, one documentary, one book, sell-out tours…The Beatles? No, it's the Fisherman’s Friends! They're the original buoy band, straight outta Cornwall, and having already landed one hit movie based on their incredible story, they are ready to set sail on the sequel and another album. Fisherman's Friends: One and All will be in UK cinemas on 19 August 2022 with the eagerly awaited soundtrack album released simultaneously. The music is a mixture of floor fillers from the 18th century and a couple of rogue ones from the 20th & 21st thrown in for good measure, this album is everything you want it to be; with stirring songs from the sea, often poignant but mostly foot-stomping, rip-roaring fun! The hugely talented singer-songwriter Imelda May is making her film debut as the character Aubrey Flynn while also joining the band on 3 songs.

5 years ago, I said the saddest farewell to my dad, a proud Cornish man, born and bred in Camborne in the shadow of Carn Brea. At his funeral, we played this song, I still can't hear it without welling up thinking about him, especially those last few lines "Because I was born here, and here I shall die". And now my dad will forever be home.

Beautiful, heartfelt song by people who love their homeland and are proud to celebrate it. I wish we had something even half as good to celebrate England as a country.

“until the Lord calls me to sit at his hand” That’s one of the most beautifully heartfelt lyrics I’ve ever read or heard sung in my 53 years on this side of Heaven. I certainly didn’t expect to be moved to tears. Good ones. Your collective conviction of the loyalty to your homeland can be physically felt. Thank each of you for sharing your talents with us and may the Lord continue to bless y’all.

As a Scot and from a fishing town it rings true with me but it also brings home how United these beautiful islands are. God bless the UK
  • As an irishman, cornwall folk are the people in England I have greatest affinity for, Great song

  • There's nothing like our boys belting out four-part harmony.. Cornwall is where I was born, Cornwall is my home until the day I die,. One hell of a place to grow up in, learn from those that came before and live in today. Nowhere on Earth is like my Cornwall, Aiming to get to `100 years old and never selling my home to blow ins :) x x x

Oh, guys. I'm from Ukraine, and I'm very pleased that we have a movie about you in Ukrainian. I went to your website, turned on the clip, and it's nice to see the blue and yellow ribbon of our flag. Thank you for supporting us and the whole of Britain in such a terrible and frightening time for Ukraine and for not letting us die from the Russian devil and his bombs. You are wonderful!

My parents moved out of our beloved Cornwall when in my early teens. Mum died in 2019 and we returned to her home to law between her mother and father. RIP mum. We miss you so much.
  • Cornwall is my home too....... These guys are the best.... exactly how I feel

I'm from Kodiak, an island in the Gulf of Alaska. My heart swells with pride & joy when I hear this song -- even though Cornwall is half a world away.
  • So beautiful. My late Dad was a huge fan of Fisherman’s Friends as am I. My grandparents lived in Port Isaac as did my Uncle ( Dad’s brother ). while I wasn’t born in Cornwall, it is the family’s spiritual homes and we holidayed there as kids visiting the family places and friends and my Dad’s own Port Isaac fisherman friend Ray. I heard this song in the recent film and my dad would have loved this song so much. It had me in tears . So beautiful. This would have been a perfect send off song for my dad. And one I will play a lot in his memory. Absolutely gorgeous 🥰❤️
  • I can't play this song or sing the words without emotionally welling up. First time I heard it I felt an immense surge of pride and emotion. A few months back I was seriously thinking of moving to Devon, then this song ,this marvelous song that encapsulates for me everything that Cornwall and Cornishness is changed that. I realised that as I sat there listening choking back unexplainable tears that Cornwall is my home and I am forever a part of it. The wonderful friendly people, their hardworking roll the sleeves up and make the best of things. The beautiful landscape that we must fight to protect from over development of luxury millionaire pads and holiday homes For those of blessed to call this our home we really do have such strong ties to this land and it's people. I think for me, I know I'm part Irish and proud, part Welsh and proud. I'm fiercely proud of my Celtic roots and have considered myself more Celt than British for decades. That doesn't mean I'm narrow in my views. I'm proud that we live in the most culturally diverse countries in the world, but there's a magic about being part Celt that only people of Celtic origin can understand and explain and of course Cornwall is Celtic and the legendary land of Camelot it is said was in Cornwall. I wasn't born in Cornwall but it's my adopted home and I will pass from this world to the next in Cornwall. I could never leave. I'm amazed how that song stirred such deep deep emotions. We are all one and all. I would dearly love to see a move to have this song adopted as our national anthem. We are a nation apart but also a part of a bigger nation. But, our language is alive and growing and we prize our achievements and cultural identity. I am very proud to be an ambassador for Cornwall

Cornwall adopted me 2 years ago when I moved down here from Kent. I have fallen in love with the place and feel more at home than I ever did in Kent. It's a beautiful county with lovely people and although I know I will never be known as a "local" I have at last found my Eden. I have my tickets to see you guys at the Hall for Cornwall.... Can't wait, I love your songs and your souls.
