I spent 18 years as a Lutheran, twenty five as a JW and the past 25 with no religious affiliation. I had terrible experiences with the pastor in the Lutheran church after becoming an orphan. After the Navy my wife and I were converted to JW. We walked away from all religion in 99 and couldn’t be happier. A deep dive into the origins of religion and how the Bible canon was determined and how manuscripts were altered was enough to convince me that all religion is a construct of men.
  • They get the 144000 from the 12 tribes of Judah that have The Mark of God on their foreheads in Revelation is my guess. My step brother’s Dads side of Family was JW. He is not anymore but I know a lot of the creeds well as he always lent me the books as he and I argued a lot that how his religion was right and mine was wrong. Fun Times in the 70s. I do agree with them on Easter. I just call it Resurrection Sunday.

Former JW here and while your intentions are ok and JWs are full of it but 2 Corinthians doesn't say what you think it says and for the love of God it's Jehovah's Witnesses, not Jehovah Witnesses.

art in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with him a thousand years.” Those of the first resurection, those in union with christ, chosen by christ for a REASON. That is to be co rulers with christ. This coruler arrangement would not be open to everyone and anyone. Christ started the Covenant with them at the last supper. The kingdom come , in heaven and on earth. Christ the king and corulers to govern from heaven. Certainly , a limited number is required for this function. A limited amount taken from among mankind. What a loving arrangement to incorporate 144,000 former humans into the government of Christ's kingdom.

Just pick your pleasure... if you like apples eat apples! If you hate apples and love bananas, eat bananas! Either one is right or wrong, there is no judgement only by oneself.

The new earth represents the beginning of a new cycle and the end of an old cycle. 9 is the number that represents completion. 144,000 is 1+4+4=9. It's a hidden number. These are spiritual truths. The 12 tribes represent the twelve cyclic ages before the one full completion (great year), for the new beginning, or end of the galactic cycle.

So you are the determiner of who is a cult? An easy slur to throw at those you don't agree with. By the same token , who are you to declare yourself the "watchman"? Pretty sure that moniker was given by God to the prophet Ezekiel, not to you. None of those scriptures you quote prove what you say, as Paul was specifically addressing those that were chosen and spirit anointed, not mankind in general, or even to all believers. Otherwise, who are the "meek" that Christ plainly said would inherit the earth? BTW, the next time you decide to make a video attacking the faith of others with a slur, maybe you can take the time to get the name correct. Otherwise, you highlight your ignorance even more.
