  • There is an entire industry of NGOs, charities and executives getting paid big money to “help” the homeless. They don’t want it to end.
  • If we can have 20-year wars, we can have a 20-year campaign to end homelessness!
  • @PatHand-og9yd
I’m from Canada and we have these same issues. Although the people and elected officials dealing with the homeless/helpless/addicted generally mean well, much of the help given amounts to enabling them to continue living as they are. And there IS an impact on our communities here, including crime, mounds of garbage, crack fires, and other things. When parents are told to sweep the playground for needles before letting the kids play, you know we are in trouble.
  • I’m an average working class guy in New Orleans and ride the bus to work my job in the French quarter. Seeing the obscene wealth, the mansions, the fancy cars people drive to their jobs, I don’t get jealous, but it makes me lose faith in society. Because I also see the homeless people and I’m right next to them. They’re on the bus and sleeping in piles of trash by the bus stop. Some panhandle others just seem to sleep in piles of trash in the street. The city of New Orleans claims there is less than 1,000 homeless people in the city, so why can’t we budget a few million to get them help and get them out of my sight. It’s depressing
  • As a New Zealander I say take care of your own citizens first and others second!
  • He is right. I have lived at the homeless shelter in Los Angeles for about 6 months. I was working 9 hours a week at the homeless center where they let me sleep. Then, they offered me a full time job and they promoted me 3 times in the same year and I became the supervisor for the family shelter. I served the families for four years and visited multiple homeless shelters and sites in Los Angeles. Later a new director showed up and let me go. On my first day of work after mission trip to Nepal to serve the folks affected by the earthquake, the director handed me a sheet of paper that said they were letting me go. Again, I was literally at the verge of homelessness. It was painful experience. I lived with my relatives and drove uber and lyft to survive. It was hard. There are many homeless folks who desperately want to come out of that misery. Many of the corporations pretending to work for homeless are not as serious to resolve the problem as they ought to be. For many of them, it is a business, folks in higher positions are paid handsomely but the real folks who work with the people everyday risking their lives suffer a lot and there is no work security. It's sad. With so much of money being spent in the name of homelessness, folks shouldn't be living on the street. With right leadership, we can help overcome homelessness pretty soon. But we should have a goal to end homelessness, not to do business of out it. I have been a missionary pastor most of my life. And now, I have one desire to see the homelessness end. They don't have to be homeless in the richest and the most powerful country in the world. Probably there is no country on this planet earth where American fund is not helping. There is a way. We don't even need as much money as the government is spending every year. I am dreaming, if my dream ever comes true, I will invest everything I have to build a gigantic community center which will be a one STOP SERVICE center for the needy. We will host, educate, mentor, connect to their local communities and make them independent! It's possible, and most of them are desperate for an opportunity!
  • Not all homeless people are in drugs, many just cant afford the rent because everything is too high,we need rent control and homeless people can't get a job with out a safe place forvthem to shower, sleep and eat, thats REALITY💯💯🗣🗣🗣
  • @Furball2k
I live in LA, he's not being hyperbolic, he's describing my neighborhood!
  • The fact that he is talking about this is major. The USA needs this!!
  • @larrymiller4
Homelessness is a symptom of much deeper problems. You can't unscramble an egg, and it seems that the situation, as well as many of these people suffering from addiction and mental illness, are too far gone, and so it will be a massive task to save so many damaged people. I believe these problems can be traced back to a spiritual emptiness.
  • NOT ALL HOMELESS PEOPLE ARE DRUG ADDICTS!!! SERIOUSLY!!! THEY ARE JUST DOWN ON THERE LUCK, MAYBE DEPRESSION WHO KNOWS WHAT, JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE HOMELESS DOESN'T MEAN YOU ARE ADDICTED TO DRUGS!! AND WHERE IN THE HELL WOULD ALL THE MONEY BE COMING FROM TO BUY THEM!!!!
  • I WAS HOMELESS FOR 7 MONTHS BECAUSE I FELL BEHIND ON MY RENT. I WAS ABLE TO GET A PORTABLE HOUSING BENEFIT FROM THE ONTARIO'S GOVERNMENT. I would like to thank Housing up support worker Jennifer from housing up for helping me.
  • This is the first time in 40 years I have ever truly heard a president candidate try to address this massive issue in america.
  • Nice video, all I can say now is my life has changed since meeting Rodger Michael Karl. He's helped us become debt-free and save for retirement." I made over 220K during this dip, which made it clear there's more to the market than we average joes know. Having an investment adviser is currently the best course of action, especially for those who are close too close to making losses.
  • Remember people, most of the world population is a paycheck away from being homeless. Mental health issues are the main cause for this, people have gave up on society because they feel society has gave up on them. There is no magic solution to this, only love, compassion and rehabilitation will help this, but that also requires action from those you are trying to help which can be extremely difficult as a majority have already gave up completely and see no way out.

❤ I’m a working professional that is currently living out of my car in Boston. Part of the working homeless. God willing this comes to pass. ❤
  • damn , when he said "All the money sent to unkraine, could have got every homeless off the street" , that hit pretty hard. They have sent a ton of money to ukraine... while the country is in shambles
  • @immank2102
This was what was going on in my heart after visiting CA. I am glad to hear this addressed. Thank you Mr. Trump for talking for this group.
