One king will lead us all. #Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom - Only in theaters December 20.

Director James Wan and Aquaman himself, Jason Momoa—along with Patrick Wilson, Amber Heard, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Nicole Kidman—return in the sequel to the highest-grossing DC film of all time: “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.”

Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta, still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death, will stop at nothing to take Aquaman down once and for all. This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever before, wielding the power of the mythic Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force. To defeat him, Aquaman will turn to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former King of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. Together, they must set aside their differences in order to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman’s family, and the world, from irreversible destruction.

All returning to the roles they originated, Jason Momoa plays Arthur Curry/Aquaman, now balancing his duties as both the King of Atlantis and a new father; Patrick Wilson is Orm, Aquaman’s half-brother and his nemesis, who must now step into a new role as his brother’s reluctant ally; Amber Heard is Mera, Atlantis’ Queen and mother of the heir to the throne; Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is Black Manta, committed more than ever to avenge his father’s death by destroying Aquaman, his family and Atlantis; and Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, a fierce leader and mother with the heart of a warrior. Also reprising their roles are Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus and Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin.

Directed by Wan, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” is produced by Peter Safran, Wan and Rob Cowan. The executive producers are Galen Vaisman and Walter Hamada.

The screenplay is by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, from a story by James Wan & David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and Jason Momoa & Thomas Pa’a Sibbett, based on characters from DC, Aquaman created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger.

Joining Wan behind-the-camera is his sterling team of “Aquaman” artisans: director of photography Don Burgess (“The Conjuring 2”), production designer Bill Brzeski (“Jumanji: The Next Level”), editor Kirk Morri (“Furious 7”), composer Rupert Gregson-Williams (“Wonder Woman”) and music supervisor is Michelle Silverman (“Malignant”). Visual effects supervisor Nick Davis (“The Clash of the Titans” films, “The Dark Knight”) and costume designer Richard Sale (“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” “Ready Player One”) also join.

Warner Bros. Pictures Presents An Atomic Monster / A Peter Safran Production of A James Wan Film, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” set to open in theaters internationally beginning 20 December 2023 and in North America on December 20, 2023; it will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.

Okay I will admit, that Black Manta suit could not be more perfect, it looks badass every shot it’s in.

Finally a superhero series that actually keeps previous villains and utilizes them in new ways instead of just leaving them behind after one go

Aquaman and Orm’s brotherly relationship is something I didn’t imagine I would love.

Patrick Wilson is fantastic in everything he's in. He had already delivered for DC with his brilliant portrayal of The Night Owl in Zack Snyder's acclaimed Watchmen. He's continues to do a good job playing Orm as well.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of Jason and his dynamic as brothers, and the spectacular visuals of Atlantis
  • I loved the part where Mera tells them “my seahorse stepped on a jellyfish”

I love Aquaman's new story line. His mom and dad both alive and well and he and Orm building a new relationship instead of always being enemies. Absolutely love it.

I love the part where Mera was giving love taps and comforting the glass to keep the bees inside so her seahorse doesn’t step on it

I trust James Wan for this, I absolutely love Aquaman 1, if they get He-Man again in part 2, the Atlantian guards and all the super cool outfits and cool battles, this will be one of my fav's this year.
  • I’m glad they brought Black Manta back. He definitely has unfinished business with Aquaman. DC has been doing real good so far this year. The Flash movie was great, The Blue Beetle move was nice, Aquaman 2 looks real good. Nice way to finish out the year.

I love the part where Mera smashes a wine bottle on Aquaman's hand, nearly severing his swimming finger. Also, that scene when Aquaman finds human excrement on his side of the bed, and Mera blamed it on the seahorses!
  • Aquaman & Black Manta going for round two? I’m in. Personally I think black manta’s suit looks incredible. The cinematography and visuals look stunning, plus bringing Arthur and Orm together and their bond as brothers grow was a great idea in my opinion.

I’m happy for DC finding a rhythm that seems to work for the Aquaman character. Most of that can be attributed to Momoa, but now it looks like they have a suitable villain and perhaps the series can really hit its stride.

I love patrick wilson, love seeing him come back as a good guy
  • James Wan always brings something unique to his films. Can't wait for this one!😍🍿

That shot of Black Manta walking with the trident was the most badass shot of the whole trailer.

Patrick and Jason have amazing chemistry I cant wait to see what they do

  • I think one thing people are missing when commenting on the "bridge" line in the trailer, is that in the first movie it was very much stated that Arthur/Aquaman would become the "bridge between two worlds/humans and Atlanteans/above and below", so it's a slight callback to the first movie.
  • Ahhhh ! This Aquaman and orm duo is giving me Thor and Loki vibes ❤ ! Waiting for this movie!! 💥
  • Simply impressed by the concept. A perfect sequel according to the villain as well. Most of the time, villains are cast out but this ain't happening here. In fact he's too strong and worthy. I don't know DC's future but I'm gonna see this for sure.
