Hey!! YOU FOUND MY STATE OF OREGON!! Having grown up here, I guess we sort of take it for granted after a while,, but I still remember my first float down the rapids the Summer my family camped there with daily river floats and campfire goodies, I was 7 years old... it somehow etched such a positive feeling that when my kids were growing up we made many long weekend trips staying in Sisters, Redmond, and Bend... doing all the great activities... Mt Bachelor SNOW!! also Snow camping near the Pacific Crest trail. Suttle Lake camping and fishing such fun!! YES you really have NO idea how deep into the activities you can get. My cousin has a Bed & Breakfast so besides camping many different options for spending a weekend or a Week! Looking forward to your next adventures!

I literally took all your advice and we visited all the places you did. Ate at sparrow bakery!! Awesome. Walked the Deschutes river walk. Plan on tubing since we'll be here three weeks before hitting the oregon coast ! I've watched your bend video countless times. Saw where you stay originally. Scadia rv park. Loving it here!! Bend is amazing to live in!

I live in Bend… for 40 years. And I’m 40. I’m happy you went to Wild Rose. Best restaurant in Bend. Also that float you did.. my buddies and I started that… used to be fun but it’s chaos now.

We went on a great vacation to Redmond/Bend. This part of the country is absolutely beautiful. The Cascade mountain range is awesome. A lot of awesome memories.

I live and work in Bend. I grew up in Astoria and moved here in 2005. Best decision ever!! There’s so much to do year round! You get all four seasons and there’s tons to do within those seasons. Food carts are my favorite. And floating the Deschutes. And shopping. ♥️

As a person who lives in Bend and before that visiting since 1976. There is so much to do in the winter, summer and other times. 95 degrees is really hot for Bend, but that river is very cold from the snow melt from the mountains around Bend.

Hello Liz and Dennis, yes I do remember that blockbuster night and getting some drinks and all kinds snack food like pizza, chicken wings and I made what you would call a movie night, I kinda of miss those days, thank you for showing that they are still around cool, have wonderful trip and see you on the next video love Becca

Blockbuster.....lmao......it was a staple in our home. of course I've gone through so many iterations of entertainment delivery systems that I'm telling on my age!!!!!

I'd love to visit Bend one day - looks incredible. The Smith Rock State Park looked so pretty and I'd love to float on the river and visit the last Blockbuster.

Yeah, the only thing I really miss about VHS tapes is that I can't find a Midnight Run (1988) that hasn't been re-mastered for DVD - sometimes the re-mastering really detracts from the authentic original - just kills me when they decide to cut scenes that were originally there and cut frames that were such a big part of making it truly special - we used to stop and go frame by frame of Charles Grodin's face as he feared they were going to crash driving off-road - priceless! Bend also looks to be priceless!

We used to enjoy taking our kids to Blockbuster to rent movies when they were young. Be kind rewind! My husband used to work for Sound Warehouse then Blockbuster when Blockbuster bought them out before having kids. Our kids thought it was cool he worked in their IT department. We were surprised to see one still open. It is nice to see one survived. Great video.

Looks like a fun hike and the water would be fun on the weekends. 👍
