In looking for Lewis and Clark his advise is “Can’t hide from thunderstorms” another reference to rain

This popped up on my feed tonight. It was a simpler time. A time before Copper Dan was even a twinkle in the Chases eye. But then came along Josh Gates with Expedition Unknown. I loved your videos Mike. I still do even though you have the evil Kpro in them.. BAHAHAHAAA. You should make a video like this sharing your thoughts on the Beacon Star.

Montana and Wyoming border eachother. Also the warm water tells me about Hot Springs which are in Yellowstone National Park which is in both states.
  • @DarkFaire12
good job ! and we are on the same page with Borders.will be Looking forward to your next post.

You have helped me out I have been working on this for 3mths I don't have the book but I will get it. The poem is the real clue I can almost think like Forrest Fenn .
  • I love your Fenn treasure hunting videos. I love the logic you use. This one supports the data I've parsed from the chapters in TTOTC you mentioned. Regarding "borders" and "edges". You mentioned state lines, National Park boundaries, borders. I like using the various Wilderness Boundaries which are inside the National Forest boundaries/borders/edges as well. Keep up the awesome videos. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas.
  • Great job over the years... I didn't find the chest either, and Forrest Fenn is my hero, too. My solve which I never got a chance to check from Massachusetts in 2019 or 2020 was this: "warm waters halt" in summer Madison River as is exits YNP Park County Wyoming and crossed into USFS Gallatin County Montana 8/10 mile north of Baker's Hole leading under highway bridge into the "cold water" in Hebgen Lake. "Take it in the Canyon down" would then be US287 North Red Canyon to Earthquake Lake Slide, Madison River Canyon, "too far to walk" keep driving north on US287 pass Sagebrush Flats on your left, keep following Madison River Valley, turn left and drive across Lyon's Bridge Cameron, Montana. "Don't make the alligator angry until you have crossed the river" put in is the boat ramp by the Lyon's bridge. "Home of Brown" is then likely Madison river "50 mile riffle" north of Lyon's Bridge where Forrest and his parents caught Brown trout for years or Lyon's Guard Station near Lyon's Bridge. "The end is ever drawing nigh" go left from bridge and toward the West Fork of Madison River, 24 lines in poem, 24 Sundance Bench Rd West Fork Cabins Fenn's summer home 1970's to 1986. Plus Forrest drew airstream trailer in this direction with his Dad 1986 driving from Temple, Texas and back there again 1700 miles. Great son to his Dad. "No place for the meek" West Fork area Joe Meek, and Osborne Russell were there is a Historical sign at Parking lot. "Caddis Hatch" sign there too along Madison River talking about Brown trout. "No paddle up your creek." Follow Gazelle creek by hiking up hill Trail 31 (across from West Fork Cabins) near West Cow Camp "your soul is empty until you have loved a Cow". In the poem the two longest lines have 31 letters, two in a row, two trips up Trail 31 from Forrest's car. Forrest was in the 31st Air Force unit in Vietnam. Follow trail 31 USFS Beaverhead National Forest pass "heavy loads" 3 lumbering areas with great views, listen good "listen closely" to crescent moon drawing, Forrest lumbering in USFS with dove "go in peace". Your are closing on the chest now. Climb toward Gold Butte around 7000 feet. "Title to the gold" means name of Gold. "Blaze" is one your left because "blaze" is key word in 31 letters second line in poem. This area is USFS Bad luck Creek Quadrant '"Bad luck can always be trusted." There is a red "9" on the USFS map by Gazelle Creek Overlook & Gold Butte, 9th clue area. "Look quickly down your quest to cease." Look down Gazelle Creek rivulet running down hill toward GAZElle Creek Overlook "but tarry scant with marvel gaze" Gaze in the word of Gazelle and they move quickly. You see mountains, smell sage, Douglas fir pine trees, and see animals... The chest may have been here under the stars for ten years, it's remote, close to family spots, and the chest hid under the stones rock cliff or stone cairn... Early version of the poem: "If you have been wise and found the stones (blaze), take the chest but leave my bones." Or I'm complete wrong like everyone else. I hope Forrest and the winner release the 9 clues so we can all achieve some peace of mind. I have been involved in the search since Today show February 2013. A part time hobby all those years while working full-time, raising four kids, taking care of a sick Father, Aunt, and Uncle. Life is busy. It was tough trying to be a Fenn Searcher in Massachusetts. I only made one trip out West in 2018 but I met Forrest at Collected works with my son Brendan after driving across the US. We then saw New Mexico, Wyoming, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and Montana. Gallatin Canyon where they filmed the final scene in "River Runs Through it" Director Robert Redford movie was my favorite spot! So amazingly beautiful...

Good job on keeping this reasonable and sane some other vids are just crazy
  • Starting the video with coffee is pure genius. It does something to my brain that makes me want to settle in.
  • Yes! You went about this a bit differently than I did but I think this is so spot on 👍🏼 I missed the connection between the two references to his mom though I had them both highlighted for different reasons. I think the same logical way you do. I like hearing my thoughts spoken & justified :)
  • @abbyisnormal
Maybe the border clue refers to the entire Continental Divide National Scenic Trail corridor. It is approximately 3,100 miles (4,988 kilometers) long, extending from the Canadian border in Montana to the border of Mexico in New Mexico. About 1,900 miles of the corridor contains existing trails or primitive routes.
  • @bobg4840
Enjoyed your video and thought process.
  • @richard11mt
great work. totally agree about borders but for a different reason to what you say.
  • @daningleson2920
With reference to rainbow and sprinkling, possibly be referring to a waterfall??? Because you can sometimes see rainbows in the spray of a waterfall. I dunno it's worth a thought though.

One of the main goals of Forrest is that he wants to leave a legacy. When the box is discovered, he wants the finders to remember him. I can understand if the treasure is found soon, everyone will know it is his. However, he said he wouldn't be surprised if it's found 1000 years from now. So my question is this. What did he put in it so people will know about him? In 1000 years, he will be forgotten. Did he put a plate engraved with his name and life history? He makes no mention of anything like that. You would think he would have put something in there so that people in 1000 years will learn all about him. Also, in one interview he says he got out of his car, went to the place and hid the treasure, yet in the same interview he later says that it's not in a location you can just get out of your car and go retrieve it.
  • @NovaLand
Thanks for the hint. Now I really know where the treasure is! =) I'm picking it up in June 2020...
  • @lukasmiller8531
My first thought on "sprinkled" and "rainbow" was a waterfall. One could argue waters halt after falling down. Did you consider that? Borders seem to be a good idea too. Nice job, looking forward to the next video!
