I am 70 years old and this song makes me shiver each time I listen to it. This song is on a totally different level than most so-called popular music. It is poetry. Haunting.

I'm a Yank, and had a boyfriend from Ireland by the name of Jake who I really loved. He was very supportive of me when I lost my mother a few years ago. When I was away, he sent me a rosary (he was Irish Catholic) in the mail with a card that said "Stay strong! Love Jakey!" I'll never forget that. He sadly passed away himself earlier this year. I still have that rosary and the card he sent me. I keep it for my memory of both him and my late mother. When I listen to this song, it makes me think of how hard it is to lose someone you love. This song is always for my Jake. 😥❤

Была на его концерте в Милане в 2005 году, какой он был красавчик.....и мне совершенно безразлично какая у него была ориентация.....голос просто божественный.....очень жаль что он ушёл🙏

What a talented singer he was, i grew up in the 80s and heard all his music, his voice is just on a different level, i am really sorry that he went through crap in his final days, you only appreciate someone when they are gone.. People don't realize what a brilliant human being he was as he did a lot for charity without even telling anyone.
