Former president Donald Trump is wrapping up his first week on criminal trial for alleged hush money payments.

David Pecker, the former National Enquirer publisher, did admit to burying embarrassing stories of then presidential candidate Trump leading up to the 2016 election. The former president's defense team spent the day trying to find holes in his story.

Inside the courtroom, the 12 jurors listened as Trump's attorneys attempted to pick apart Pecker’s testimony. Pecker admitted he helped buy and then kill embarrassing stories. The ex-tabloid owner says Trump thanked him for his help in 2017 at the White House, a detail defense attorneys say did not match his previous statement.

  • As a child I was fascinated with our government, but as I grew older found out that our system has two faces. They make as believe we are free when reality government has as under oppression, if you don’t pay $ for protection there’s no freedom.

How can it be a criminal trial if there are no victims? An amount of money was decided upon, paid, and accepted therefore no crime. Not to mention the statue of limitations makes you wonder how it is even possible for this fiasco to be on trial?

Bragg has a gag order - NO EATING TIL TRIAL IS OVER! I am going to get a snack now!
  • In the New York Constitution, Article 1, Section 8, it states, "and the jury shall have the right to determine the law and the fact." In this trial Judge Juan Merchan is going to ignore this jury right. During this trial, the jury will only be allowed to determine the fact, not the law. Does anyone think the jury will hear about this Constitutional right? It's not going to be heard during jury selection, it's not going to be heard during jury instructions, the defense is not going to be allowed to bring it up during trial and the judge and prosecution are certainly not going to bring it up! This is a constitutional right the jury should know about!

This is so far beyond absurd, there's no way to measure how far. When it is known from Madison Avenue to the Hudson River that a Manhattan judgeship can be bought for $100,000 of 1986 money, who is zooming who? For that matter, the only question that anyone should even think to ask is whether America will be in good stead from 2024 - 2028.
