I've seen videos of electric dryers made into shop heaters but they always seem to look like a small dryer. In this build I'm going to make a shop heater out of a dryer but try to make it look like a heater. If you have any questions about the build please ask in the comment section of this video. Thanks for watching. :)

How bout this: Build a filter box to stick on the end of the ducting that lets the hot air blow into the garage after it's been filtered WHILE DRYING YOUR LAUNDRY? 😮TA-DA!

Can you provide a pic or another review of just the wiring? I can’t tell how you wired the heating element to power. Thanks in advance!

aww man i was sure you were going to get a couple $ in coins :) as for the heating element and its on cycle being longer, maybe a burn out maybe not something to consider. and finally mad props on that thin sheet metal welding :)
  • Dang. Now I need to find an old dryer somewhere to make a shop heater. But mine needs to be an old 110 dryer
  • Well done, sir. I would like to ask you whether I can make conversion of Dryer with heat pump to room heater since heat pumps are more efficient in terms of electricity.Thank you and looking forward to hearing from you.
