Meteor Man is a comic book spin-off of the 1993 MGM film The Meteor Man. Marvel Comics produced a six-issue limited series which ran for 6 months, from July 1993 to January 1994. It was written by Bert B Hubbard and Dwight D Coye, and illustrated by Robert Walker and Jon Holdredge, where Meteor Man met Spider-Man and Night Thrasher. The fictional superhero was created by director/actor/writer, Robert Townsend. Many years later, the Golden Lords reappeared on the pages of Miles Morales: Spider-Man #5. It was releases during the same time as G.I. Joe, Ren & Stimpy, Transformers: Generation 2, Biker Mice From Mars, and King Arthur and the Knights of Justice comics on shelves.

I'm from Chile and you might be surprised that Meteor Man has a Latin fan in South America. I always loved that movie and character. and that suit was fantastic. an anecdote. the invitation to my marriage included a caricature of me dressed as meteor man hahaha And I agree that this was the first movie about a black superhero. by the way. your meteor man suit looks super cool . i want one!

Saw your meteor Man collection I liked it too bad you don't have the poster of him flying with his shirt open showing his symbol I wished Robert Townsend was there I get a picture and an autograph from him I knew you would too VHS they show the music video with Shanice at the end but it sucks they don't show it on DVD no music videos behind the scenes or delete it or extended scenes just the trailer they messed it up
