  • Wow Anthony. I know reviewing an album takes time, and a few days is normal, but taking 55 years for this is unacceptable.
  • Can’t believe the Beatles dropped again, they’re really dominating the 20s so far

That transition from She's So Heavy to Here Comes The Sun is something where the intended experience is slightly lost on modern day streaming platforms. On the original vinyl, listening to "Heavy" droning on and on for so long only for it to abruptly end, gave you the impression that when you'd flip the vinyl over to continue the album, "Heavy" would just keep going on forever and ever. Instead you'd get greeted with the beautiful opening chords of Here Comes The Sun, almost like a song welcoming you out of the abyss "Heavy" was dragging you into. I think this effect still works to an extent even on streaming, but learning about it like that made me understand why it's there.
  • The melody of "You Never Give Me Your Money" returning in "Carry That Weight" is still one of the greatest moments of music I've ever experienced, and I first heard that 14 years ago.

I’ve waited 55 years just for Fantano to review this classic, thank you fantano

I know I'm probably shouting into the void here, but Anthony, please never let "I don't know if I can say anything new" stop you from reviewing an album that you believe deserves praise. You have such a large, young audience, that you should look at these reviews as a way to introduce the younger generation to an album you think is essential, which Abbey Road absolutely is.

George and Ringo writing Octopus’s Garden in the documentary Get Back is absolutely a highlight. Just vulnerable, tender collaboration. Too pure for this world

Anthony, rare serious comment here. Can’t express how important these classic reviews are, as daunting as they may be for you. Been watching you for probably 10+ years now and some of my all time favorite classic albums I heard about from you back when I was like 14-15, (Low End Theory and In The Aeroplane were huge for me back in the day). Going back and singing the praises of these classics helps put it into the laps of younger people who might never have found it otherwise. Keep doing your thing ❤

Jokes aside, unironically maybe one of Fantano’s best reviews ever. I know at the beginning he expressed how daunting it can be to review such a behemoth of a record like Abbey Road, but I feel like he really did it justice and encapsulated almost everything that makes this record special and unique and important culturally. Kudos Anthony!

Octopus’ Garden is so underrated, say what you will about Ringo but nobody else in the Beatles could touch him when it came to nautical ballads

Poor Ringo. 55 years later and people still forget about his only drum solo.
  • @Niki166
The fact that they released Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt Pepper, The White Album, Abbey Road and Let It Be, 6 of the greatest albums of all time in the span of 5 years always blows my mind. Nice review, one of my favourite albums 👌👌

Kudos to Melon for putting these blokes on the map. I love that this channel gives underground artists a chance to shine.
  • Abbey Road is the sound of the Beatles walking into the studio and John Paul George and Ringo walking out. The entire album is one amazing curtain call.
  • @SaxonUltraTV
Fun Fact: the cut on the end of She's So Heavy was actually John's idea, and it worked. And ALSO, it was the 'Last Song' they have ever recorded and written together, they never played again in the same room after that. People say that The End was the last song they written together, but it's actually She's So Heavy. My Favourite Song from The Beatles. Truly fantastic! @theneedledrop
  • @abyss1138
Alright fine, I’ll become completely obsessed with The Beatles again. (I never stopped)
  • @NRobbi42
The I Want You (She's So Heavy) ending is legit Doom Metal
  • @tonightsbigloser
Great. After 54 years, I can now finally tell my friends that I like this album.
  • @Spearced
Hardly an original observation I'm sure, but the 'You Never Give me Your Money' reprise in 'Carry That Weight' is possibly my favourite moment from any piece of music. The full orchestral brass leading into the guitar solo, then the tender return to the vocal harmonies with extra instrumentation in the background.... it's just perfect.
  • @m1LeyViRuS
Nice as always. Just a correction, Ringo didn't write Yellow Submarine, it was written FOR him by Lennon/McCartney
