Lyrics:
We were good, we were gold
Kinda dream that can’t be sold
We were right til we weren’t
Built a home and watched it burn

I didn’t wanna leave you
I didn’t wanna lie
Started to cry but then remembered I

I can buy myself flowers
Write my name in the sand
Talk to myself for hours
Say things you don’t understand
I can take myself dancing
And I can hold my own hand
Yeah I can love me better than you can

I can love me better
I can love me better baby
Can love me better
I can love me better baby

Paint my nails, cherry red
Match the roses that you left
No remorse, no regret
I forgive every word you said

I didn’t wanna wanna leave you
I didn’t wanna fight
Started to cry but then remembered I

I can buy myself flowers
Write my name in the sand
Talk to myself for hours
Say things you don’t understand
I can take myself dancing
And I can hold my own hand
Yeah I can love me better than you can

I can love me better
I can love me better baby
Can love me better
I can love me better baby
Can love me better
I can love me better baby
Can love me better
I

I didn’t wanna wanna leave you
I didn’t wanna fight
Started to cry but then remembered I

I can buy myself flowers
Write my name in the sand
Talk to myself for hours
Say things you don’t understand
I can take myself dancing
And I can hold my own hand
Yeah I can love me better than
Yeah I can love me better than you can

Can love me better
I can love me better baby
Can love me better
I can love me better baby
Can love me better
I can love me better baby
Can love me better
I

I can love me better than you can…. FLOWERS SINGLE + VIDEO OUT NOW. https://mileycyrus.lnk.to/Flowers
  • I think she has a special place in our hearts because a lot of us got to watch her grow up. It’s so cool to see her evolution as an artist and as a person. 🥰

I can’t believe this song was her first ever Grammy, but she deserves after 18 years of hard work🫶🏻
  • The ultimate anthem for everyone who went through a shitty relationship and then started priorisieren self-love and self-worth. Thanks, Miley

And this energy of her in this MV too... I can literally grab the good vibes and sense of freedom she's spreading

This song is a powerful anthem for self-love and self-acceptance. The lyrics speak to the idea that feeling alone is one thing, but being alone is another. The singer acknowledges the pain of a past relationship, but instead of dwelling on the negative emotions, she chooses to focus on the positive and takes control of her own happiness from her. The lyrics encourage listeners to take care of themselves, both physically and emotionally. The repetition of "I can love me better" reinforces the idea that self-love is important and attainable. The melody and rhythm are catchy and upbeat, making this song a perfect anthem for anyone who needs a boost of confidence and inspiration.
  • My favorite part about all of this is that she says she can love herself better than he can and there is no need for another man/person to do it better. So many break up/ revenge songs are about the singer finding someone better than the previous partner and while I hope that she finds someone better if that is the path she wants to take I am glad she is loving herself and finding strength and empowerment in herself! Love this song and love Miley!

I love to see this, her evolution has been amazing. She is killing it right now and we can't deny the fact that she has become a very influential figure in music.. Nothing but respect to her journey. I hope to make it like she has one day, I'll keep fighting till I get there!! To anyone that takes the time out of their day to check my stuff and show love, I will forever be thankful foreal ❤️🙏

This song is a hymn for not only people who experienced toxic relationships But also for all the people out there who are /were bullied because of their uniqueness For the people who don't fit in and never wanted to... For the people who struggle to love themselves because they feel that the world truly hates them and don't give them the opportunity to embrace who they are I love this song because it speaks a universal language that can not be limited to one subject It's truly a masterpiece Miley did a great job Thank you!! ❤️
  • I have never been a Miley fan, BUT this song is like a new anthem. She has made me realize she is a smart cookie. She must be smiling at all the people who were thinking she was the problem in her marriage. Grow Miley, grow, which you already obviously have ;)
  • 71 and still married to my best friend and still buying flowers and loving myself 😊 0:04
  • @TheSakebomb1
This is probably the most empowering song ever written. Thank you Miley.
  • I'm not a Miley Cyrus fan BUT... I LOVE this song... I feel, a lot of us can relate. Truly sad she had to go through a heartbreak at such a young age. Being in the public eye, she needed to find a way to heal... I think she's making strides to recover... ❤️

All that time covering female singers from the 70's and 80's has done her good. She's definitely been taking notes and improving her songwriting abilities. It's nice to see her evolving.
  • If anyone is reading, may music bring you peace. The world is tough, but take a moment to chill and remember you’re not alone. 🎵❤
