To be 22 and in Paris. The story so far...

Published 2024-07-19
A recap of the later segments of my European adventure. A story that weaves together my time in Florence and Paris, with the common thread of the journey being my discovery of an emerging brand called Objekt. I get the opportunity to meet the founders, and I come away truly inspired by their work.

As always, there is food, shopping, and sights. But this is a very sentimental, reflective adventure. One where I learn as much about myself as I do about the brands that I discover.

Paris was vastly different from Italy. My first day in Marais showcased the best dressed people I have ever seen in my life. Period. I came away with a new appreciation for street style, and some new garments to boot. We'll go over all of this and more. So stay tuned and stay excited.

-Ciao

Thank you very much for your interesting and personal videos! It is exciting to watch your travels in your search for your personal style. It seems that simple and pure suits you very well and therefore I wonder all the time how the menswear by Jil Sander ("The Queen of Clean Chic") would suit you. These clothes are incredibly expensive, but if you studied their design language, you could find and try something less expensive. I wish you continued joy and success on your journey!

I can't even explain why, but I guess I'm intrigued by any young person obsessed with creative endeavors. Perhaps it is a surprise to find out you're a computer science major, but it just shows that you are multifaceted. I haven't been to Paris in 20 years. I must return. You are right, Paris is magical and more like the movies than anyone can possibly imagine until they set foot in that place.

Keep up the great work! The content is authentic and entertaining!
  • I love the special atmosphere of your videos (please marry me :D). They inspired me to order clothes from Italy for the first time. I pray that the Italian cuts will fit me because Italians are on average up to 10 cm shorter than people in other parts of Europe, which is why Italian designers seem to work with slightly different body proportions.

As obscene as your spending might be, if they are things you cherish then it's all right. You never hear anyone regretting they don't have more money saved up in their 401ks. And travel travel travel. Especially in your 20s.
