Studio 10 6L6 demo | Blackstar

Studio 10 6L6:
Influenced by history’s most iconic amplifiers, the 10W single-ended Studio 10 6L6 deploys a 6L6 output valve and an ECC83 in the preamp stage to give this amp a distinctively American bright clean sound and searing lead tone. The built-in overdrive circuit - inspired by our renowned HT-Drive pedal - takes the lead tone from dynamic crunch to a singing, smooth legato and remains composed and graceful.

A nod to a several excellent guitarists there ... Did anyone else get Mayer and Chris Buck? Nice sound ... very tempting given the size vs sound... need more of a demo.

Sweet sounding! Nice playing! Thanks for highlighting the tone of the amp without the needless shredder noodling that is so typical of a lot of demos.

Yep need this amp now, great sound I already have the Aston mic and see the recording potential of this set up.
  • I never had Blackstar on my musical radar, I saw the video, I bought one ...
  • Isn't this one of the last year launched anniversary amps in a new colour and with a 20% increase in price? Some stores still have those in stock.
  • Too short. I wanted to see him crank the vol and get overdriven tones after those sweet cleans!

Sounds great and looks amazing, but how different is this from the Artist 10 AE?

I have this amp and think the tone is pretty nice but when you raise the volume it needs to have the tone knob no farther than midway and that’s pretty far for me. It sounds like it’s all treble any higher . I suppose it’s the 6l6. They probably could have done a bass middle and treble knob. It’s rather treble heavy, Unless it’s got the master at about a quarter of the way up. I’m considering returning it tbh.
  • For anyone commenting on the brittle tone... give the amp/speaker time to break in, it'll sweeten up!

Cheating! Using a strat for gear demos should be illegal coz they make everything sound awesome haha
