  • Absolutely beautiful. Also as someone else who lives in the UK you can give me inspiration and our living spaces are similar size. You have created a calm, clean home. Thank you for sharing x
  • You just got yourself a new subscriber! I absolutely love the neutral-colored living room with beautiful colorful flowers in the center. Those little buddha statues by the television are so sweet and go nicely with the console table. That couch looks so comfortable, oh my goodness, haha! I like the blend of cozy textures in your space. Having a clean home is so important and minimalism makes it so easy to clean

šŸ˜ Beautiful. Also living in a 2 bedroom home with a toddler, but it's my partner who is a HUGE hoarder. He saves everything. Our house is so cluttered. The space under your stairs... We have a tumble dryer there. I hate having wet clothes hanging everywhere over radiators. So inspiring. Wow. Thank you for sharing xx

This is such a beautiful home! I love your mirror in the living room, I can relate to being a hoarder. I grew up in eastern Europe and it's so normal for families to have a bunch of stuff. Now that I moved to England I also started buying less stuff because it's very overwhelming. It's definitely not easy with this mass consumerism we're dealing with, but it can be a sustainable lifestyle. Thank you for sharing this ā¤

I enjoyed your video - Iā€™m also in a new build in the UK. I would hang a few of your plants in woven (but lined!) baskets from the ceiling. I think it would lift them off the floor but you can still enjoy them. Your home looks so calm. X

I think for plants you could buy a plant stand next to the TV. That way they will get sunlight and it also looks better and neat. As least that's what I would do. I keep mine in front of the window but that might feel too cluttered to you

You have such a refreshing and peaceful home. I love that you don't have many toys for your son and you just let him play with household items. That's all my kids need as well! I don't think you need any extra storage in your bathroom. Maybe for the plants you could put some on the entertainment center and some in the kitchen on the counter?
  • I would suggest to hang a mirror in your entryway to make it more beautiful and still minimalist and clutter free. And also hang some light filtering linen curtains to make your house more cozy and for privacy

For a little while I had two pictures on my walls (living room by the bedroom door, and bedroom) One was a gift from a friend who died in September 2002. One was a watercolor by a local artist of a cinema that was closing Iā€™d enjoyed going to since the early 90ā€™s (it closed Spring 2016) While covering up nail/tack holes Iā€™d made on the walls since moving here in 2005, I decided not to keep those pictures, either. One reminded me of a close friend long gone, the other of a treasured place now gone. They couldnā€™t take the place of what was no longer here. Also they covered up more tacky-looking holes. I love having clean, empty walls: no distractions, lots of light and a spacious feeling. I will never make a hole in the wall again, here or anywhere. Filling in those stupid little holes, taping around, finally repainting over them to match the rest of the wallsā€™ color was a lot of work I needed never to do.

I love your house, especially the kitchen and bathroom. I donā€™t have any great suggestions for the plants. They can be difficult to place because they have needs like light and water. If possible, I would try to group them together somewhere. If they get enough light on the dining room wall that you wondered about doing something with, maybe some glass or acrylic shelves for them?
