In todays video I show you How To Make HOMEMADE ANT KILLER, using just 2 ingredients, honey and Borax. Borax is quite cheap and you should be able to find it in the laundry or cleaning section of your supermarket or hardware store.
Borax naturally kills ants by interfering with their digestive system. This slow kill allows time for the worker ants to consume the bait and head back to their nest to share it with the rest of the colony and the queen. It may take a few applications to totally rid yourself of ants.

This budget ant killer is very effective, give it a try!

A tip to make this even more effective. Put a small piece of cake in the trap so it soaks up some of the mixture. The ants will cart bits off to the nest, and this seems to wipe out the nest completely. To protect other animals, I use a small lidded plastic pot, drill some 1/8inch holes near the bottom, then insert the cake and fluid and screw the top back on. The ants soon find their way in.

Had terrible infestations at several places in the house. Used the Borax/Honey method and within a couple of days, no more ants! Thanks Greg!

Love Australian accent. I watched several videos on this. Some were too long. Some moved their phone around so much that I got sea sick. This was short. To the point. Simple. Concise. And I like that you added the caution at the end about dogs, butterflies, etc. Thank you. Your formula is the one I chose.

I was happy to hear that you took the time to also mention safety precautions people should take to prevent the possibility of this concoction being consumed by animals, wildlife, butterflies etc. Alot of people don't take the time to even think about such things. Thanks!

I can confirm this works extremely well. I had a persistent ant problem. I mixed up a batch but made the mistake of trying to improve the recipe by adding black strap molasses. The ants wouldn’t touch it, probably because of the sulfur. When I made it with just water, sugar, and borax, the ants ate it and were gone for about a week. I put out more and they haven’t been back.

Will definitely try this. I swear my home is a 5 star hotel for ants!

I was searching for good French fries recipe and YouTube decided this was good to recommend. I was not disappointed.

Occasionally got ants in the kitchen, at first set up ant bait stations of the borax mixture near the areas we saw them. The ants came by droves to lap up the bait and seemed to make the problem worse. The biggest revelation was putting the bait OUTSIDE! That's where the ants were coming from I realized. After baiting the outside the number of ants seen inside dropped immediately to just a few and after three days there were no ants coming in at all.
  • I've used this method in the past and it works like a charm. I put mine in a shallow lid inside a plastic salad or tomato container that they come in from the grocery store to keep the rain out. The containers have slits and holes to allow the ants in.

Quickest simplest recipe I’ve seen on YouTube re the Borax ! All the others muck around too much making it up and all particular about the texture ect . Just love that all you need to do is to dissolve 2 teas in boiling water ! and with a bit of honey . Wonderful! Thanks so much for that Greg . I needed this one I’ve been desperately trying to get rid of ants outside that have been coming through from the neighbours fence for years!!! All the ant sand is just a joke and all the other other remedies don’t work for more than a day so I’m definitely going to give this easy one a go 👍I’m an Aussie too 🇦🇺so Trust an Aussie to get it easy to do and straight to the point 😉👍

Greg, you are AWESOME !! I had an infestation around my cats food bowl-I moved the bowl to a different room, sprinkled Borax on the carpet, left it there for a few days, then vacuumed it up, then put the food bowl back---that was 2 years ago and they have never returned.
