One of the things that cracked me up the most with this performance is that while later in an interview, Dimash sheepishly admitted that he wouldn't have been so "flirty/cheeky" had he known his dad was there!! 🤣🤣🤣

Dimash completely outperformed the original song by Vitas -- and given that this was one of Vitas' most well known songs [and the fact that he never really expected anyone to do the song as well, let alone even better than his original version], Vitas was not happy about Dimash outshining him, and word has been that he requested it to not be performed again...

I heard something about the original artist not liking the ending, because Dimash did it better.

He was 22 here. His voice range is incredible, but the beauty of his vocals, vocal techniques are even more amazing!

Has anyone mentioned that Dimash is 6'3" tall? It's all awesome! He towers over his parents.

Dimash was very playful for this performance. He said that if he had known his Dad was in the audience, he wouldn't have been so 'cheeky' onstage. He fears disappointing his family and his fans. I think Dimash was really pumped up from the reaction to his first performance, "SOS." China went nuts for him after that. He had to have bodyguards the next day.

The first episode was sos and this was the second episode and he got 1st place both episodes!

It was "Marigold" that he sang to his Mother - and she cries when she hears him.

The story goes that when Kanat showed up for his son’s performance, it was the beginning of him managing his son’s career. After the amazing success of SOS for the first episode of the show it was clear to Kanat that Dimash was going places that he had never been. And boy was he correct! He remains his manager and they have a great team put together that takes care of all of Dimash‘s career moves. As usual, the singer is to take care of his vocal instrument and that is a main priority. And usually, the entertainer/singer has a lot of input in his career but also has to trust that his manager and the others on his team are taking a great load off of him. I believe that he thinks through all of the offers that come his way and approves every move. Then the team members take care of the dynamics and specifics.
