Oh crap I think I remember her from Alvin's video on Goldee's BBQ crazy to see she already did what she said she would do and has her own place now
  • @lugaretzia
She smiles througout the video! That comes from doing something you love.

I remember watching Alvin's video where Chuck said she "If a BBQ place has a good pit master, they either have to offer them ownership or they open their own place... I want to open my own place". I'm so happy to see she opened her own place! It looks amazing! I will definetly have to visit when I go to Texas. I hope it will make Chuck happy that I flew in from the UK just to try her BBQ... and see my friends ;)

It takes cajónes to open a BBQ place in the epicenter of BBQ in Texas. She went right into the heart of the beast and did it HER way. 25 years old too! She has a very bright future!!

Now that's what I'm talking about Chuck, always knew you could do it (:

She is amazing! From bottom of the ladder at Goldee's to owing her own thriving business in a little over 3 years. What an incredible work ethic and determination she has. I cannot blame Diego for being starstruck she is amazing. She's still in her 20's sky's the limit for her

Can't wait to try it! My boyfriend and I drove from South Austin to get lunch there on a Sunday a couple months ago, but you had already sold out, which speaks volumes. You ladies still greeted us and gave us a complimentary dessert and green juice since you had sold out. (Both were great by the way!) We thought that was so kind and generous of y'all! We will make it back sometime to try the meats 😊😊

Barb was still working at Goldees when I took the class there. You could tell she knew what she was doing and they told us she was taking out on her own soon. What a inspiration to young women in the USA!

I learned more tips about brisket in 5 min from Chuck than I have in the last 10 years watching other pit masters.
  • @Omni-Man
I recognised her straight away from the previous BBQ video she was in. So glad she's made her own place like she planned!

no matter how many smoke point videos i watch, i still have no clue what goes into trimming the fat off a brisket. you'd think after literally hours of watching, you'd pick up something! wow what an art
  • @TheoTheLeo
This is amazing to see that she actually followed through with her plans of getting her own place and is Succeeding! Badass Woman!
  • Love the Mexican influence. Makes me wish I was closer. Maybe next time I'm visiting family in Texas

Wow. I am root'n for Chuck and all involved with Barbs B Que. Heartwarming for sure. I like to see and support people who love what they do, are good at what they do and can make a great living at what they do. I enjoyed Chuck's video time while at Goldees, she has such a calm presence about her and now she is dialed in and focused at creating great food at Barbs. What a gentle soul and I love how she talks about her mom teaching her and now she teaches her mom. Her mom has a lot to be proud of. I'll make a trip to Barb's for sure. She has a great vision and bright future!
  • Chuck is a very talented and creative chef, especially for someone as young as her. Owning a business, taking care of her employees and customers and still displaying a love for your craft and products. I am thoroughly impressed with this rising star and wish her the best !! Thanks so much for this video.

Ngl green spaghetti has always been a well kept secret in hispanic communities bc it’s so darn addictive yet so easy to make. In my personal experience it’s always there for Christmas, new years, and now thanksgiving. I am happy Chuck put it out there for everyone to try, it was about time someone did.
