Is this how the other half live? | Bridgetown | Ep91

Published 2024-07-26
G'day VanFam, this week we're checking out how the other half live as we borrow a Sunseeker Desert storm. We take the big rig on a road trip into the South West and stay at a winery before checking out the historic town of Bridgetown which has the reputation as being the coldest town in WA.

Hey guys, I'm glad that you got your temporary home sorted while your van is in for repairs. Wow, what a great van that you borrowed 😊 Thanks for sharing your adventures. Kaylee did well with the narrating 🎉 Enjoy the weekend. See you next week. Safe travels, Lyn ❤
  • Well done legends, Hats off to the action shots going down the slide and the park narration. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • Amazing to be back on the road, love a good road trip, exploring even though it's cold 👍
  • Hey guys, as usual great informative video and a pleasure to watch. Thanks for the clear explanations on the caravan and vehicle weights Brett, well worth knowing! Looking forward to seeing you guys next week 👍 Take care and stay safe. Kind regards, Corrie 😀
  • Welcome back guys, the kids are the BIG difference, been awhile 😁
  • It certainly is very scenic countryside where you are at present. It's making us think about headng that way sometime. Many thanks for all the work you put into producing each episode, we know it's a lot of work. We've only recently started watching and we've hit the Subsribe button to tune in regularly so we look forward to getting to know you all better.

Great video and good explanation re weights and especially re rear axel. We loved the SE of WA when we were there 👍

Great video, hubby is always telling me the weighing system and cause and effects, after watching your explanation I'm still no wiser 😂 I will leave that side to him and I will just do my thing 😀

I'm glad you made it to the Donnybrook Apple Fun Park and had a great time. Enjoyed watching you all tour around my home territory. To think I could have run into you all. Next time, maybe even on the road one day our paths will cross. Thanks for the vlog, enjoy the hire van. Safe travels.
  • Just a comment about inverting the hitch. Unless the hitch or the owner's manual says it can be inverted it must remain in the standard position. They are usually designed as one way only. The Hayman Reese adjustable hitch or something similar is the best option.
  • Great video but my wife pointed out you look like the Pringles man 😂

I have cooked Christmas pork roast in our webber on about 3 occasions.
  • Just read the BT50 manual. It says if the van is over 3t the speed must not exceed 80kph. I bet not many know that and goes to show that the van weight really shouldn't exceed the weight of the tow vehicle.
  • Personally, I prefer free camping or if I do stay at Caravan Parks, it is normally the type that are a bit out of town....why? As you experienced with your last episode Caravan Parks in towns do have theft and IMO it is by people that are opportunistic rather than organised, so by staying out of town you are vastly reducing the opportunity. Yes, it is a pity that we have to think this way but unfortunately today it is a fact of life. PS - I have a mini washing machine in my setup and yes it does vibrate a lot......I think it is due to being wall mounted therefore the clothes are never evenly balanced around the bowl.
  • Really appreciate your explanation of weight transfer issues. Where do we find the rear axle weight limit for our prospective tow vehicles (before purchase) as carsales does not list this (and may not be correct)? Is there a website that lists rear axle, towball, etc limits for all cars?
