No one knows. There, saved you 30 minutes.

Tumbelty - NO . Charles Lechmere - yes
-
Can't believe how deep the Jack the Ripper mystery goes. Every detail just adds another layer to the intrigue!
-
It's the History Channel. I'm surprised they didn't say aliens did it.
-
Poor elephant man, may he rest in peace
-
When in doubt ask, one of those ancient astronaut theorist folks.
-
Although Sherlock Holmes was first published in 1887, it did not become 'wildly popular' until 1891 when it was serialized in 'The Strand' magazine. 3 years after the Ripper murders. These 'experts' are NOT experts at all. Uggggh.

His voice gives chills to the bones. Perfect for midnight watching.

Are you going to tell us he was an Alien that was harvesting human organs and always escaped capture due to his invisibility Top Hat and Tails
-
Fascinating story. 🧐
-
All adds up to Tumblety being the Ripper!!... sadly we'll never be 100% sure, not until we invent time travel.
-
thanks history channel, I had never heard of this obscure case before, and I live in London.
-
The real Jack the Ripper was actually his moustache
-
James Littlechild, who was an inspector at Scotland Yard during the murders, wrote a letter to a friend saying that he believed Tumblety was the Ripper.
-
As much as ive studied this back n forth that theory of not taking pics of the other victims which were killed in public out of the concern that maybe the killer mightve been in the photo and needed to conceal his identity ... Never occurred to me till now .
-
I love his voice for stuff
-
Jack the Ripper a New Investigation, is a great book on the subject. Not only does it go into the mystery, it also details why we are still so fascinated even today.

I recommend Debunk File's video covering Jack the Ripper
