After Thoughts about the Video: These are an inexpensive product so make sure you test for a few hours before you install them. I bought 2 sets and both worked great but other reviews have said they had failures(user error?). I put glue at the spot where the wire exits the heating pad to make sure it doesn't pull out. The heating pads I linked on Amazon aren't the exact ones I bought but appear identical. I bought directly from China for around $5 but it took a month to arrive. www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805786054229.html (color D)

I swear to God there is nothing that this man cannot do or build.
  • Another option is to buy a coat with a zip in zip out liner to install all the heat panels without having to cut anything which also allows you to use your coat through warmer seasons. Vests are a good option. Don’t forget to put your chocolate bar in a non heated pocket, I know someone who might have done that.👍⚡️

Okay now make a Cooled jacket for the Summer lol. Cool stuff mam!
  • @jhartford58
Quite genius! Never thought a DIY heated jacket was this easy
  • @opichocal
Great idea! I put a 12v heated seat pad stuffed inside my jacket for long motorcycle rides. Best $10 I ever spent👍
  • @farmerjon.
I can't thank you enough. Colder weather is here and I've been looking at heated jackets so I can keep riding the bike without putting on/taking off multiple layers throughout my ride and stops. But, I refuse to pay for a cheap one from amazon or expensive one from Milwaukee. Will be starting this project today.

That last shot was worth the whole video :)

I don't know what's better - your video content, or seeing Ginger at the end.
  • @haqthat
You amaze me with every new video! I talk about your videos a LOT. I've also copied probably 1/2 of what you shown us for my every day life. Man oh man, just thank you!
  • @280zone
Ginger is sooo tired of your shenanigans. But I appreciate this project.

You seem to be informed about most stuff but in case you hadn't come across this, the adhesive on iron on hem tape seems to be (and I'm pretty sure is) the same as hot melt glue and might make a good alternative to shoe goo - I was thinking you could have glued the on/off button on with it. (In my experience It's probably stronger at bonding fabric than most other uses). But yeah, $200 for a heated work jacket when you can make your own for around $20-$40, you'd be crazy not to. Great idea!
  • @ProleDaddy
And my working class hero is at it again. Cheers, my guy.
  • Did this years ago with stick-on velcro strips, and it worked fine, plus the pads were removable. You're actually still working too hard! No cutting or modification of the jacket required. You can get 'permanent' stick-on velcro that you can still remove later if you really want to, but put the soft side on the jacket and the prickly side on the heaters, and the jacket will be nice with or without them in place.

Great work. Will have to do that myself. I did convert my Milwaukee jacket to run on standard battery bank and that has been great too

What a great friend you have with the dog. We can tell you both enjoy each others company. You treat him well and he minds you in response. Good to see.
  • @CigaretteTricks
Bout to buy 3 and put them all in one jacket 😂 pockets full of battery banks, I’m gonna be glowing
  • @JimLambier
Great idea! I just ordered a similar product from Amazon. The one you listed shows as sold out so I'm guessing that a lot of us liked your idea. My son worked as a chimney sweep and in the winter he was working up on snow covered roofs. He bought one of the commercial heated jackets and absolutely loves it. I was tempted to get one but couldn't justify the expense....until now.
  • @muchristian
Good timing on this! I have a buddy who has been wanting one for a while but didn't want to drop the coin.
  • @hdpro66
Love your Pup at the end! Great ending 😂
  • @MikeyMack303
That is so great! I'll get to making one of those asap! Thanks for sharing!
