My wife was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, medication did not help. She threw away her entire career by impulsively doing something illegal and was arrested. It was typical of her impulsive behavior that grew worse, much worse as she grew older. She died at 40 years old because of her inability to make rational decisions about her health. Her uncle and cousin were schizophrenic. Her mother was agoraphobic. My wife's siblings had undiagnosed mental disorders to say the least. Mental illness most definitely runs in families.

I hate my personality. Im either too energized and weirdly too confident or too bummy and not a nice person. I just want to have one wavelenght.. Not 5 different..

I was diagnosed with bipolar since my teenage. Spent my whole life fighting bipolar. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

I recently got diagnosed with bipolar disorder after suspecting it for about a year and a half. I kept thinking that my brain was just trying to fool me, but I can't argue with a diagnosis. I came and watched this video again because why not. My mood episodes are environmentally triggered most of the time. Sometimes it just happens for no reason and I end up being completely unapproachable or the most talkative person. I'm both freaked out and relieved that I know I have bipolar disorder. On one hand, society probably sees me as crazy for it, but at the same time, I'm glad I finally have an answer for those many times I've been depressed without reason. I take mood stableizers now, which also helps with my ptsd. If you ever have moments where you feel awful for no reason, then look into it, I couldn't figure it out for many years and it was eating me alive Edit: The diagnosis was VERY wrong. I got re-evaluated, I have autism

A minor note here: mood swings are also seen in people with ADHD, and the symptoms can sometimes be mistaken for Bipolar. This is why it's extremely important to have a mental health professional diagnose you.

I got my diagnosis of being bipolar about half a year ago. I'm 25 now and I thought my whole life something was off with me. just to know it's a disorder is such a great relieve, and the right therapy and meditation is helping to 'normalize' a regular lifestyle. I can relate to all 10 symptoms - thank you for this video, it feels good to see that the information is out there and educating ;) I love your videos

I'm bipolar and have been diagnosed and on meds for many years. I still have episodes of depression or mania from time to time tho. I used this video along with other resources to give my partner a better understanding of what I'm going through and I find your explanations very good. Thanks for educating!
  • To viewers: do NOT self-diagnose. Talk to your doctor. This is a serious disorder that involves your brain damaging itself if left untreated
