    There is a drum playthrough of this song online with multiple camera angles. It is IMO genuinely the best drum playthrough of a song on Youtube. The man is such an underrated drummer. His name never comes up when talking about the best drummers in metal, but it definitely should.

    Great reaction! Glad you've appreciated The Ocean. This is a good idea to listen to their albims in a sequence cause they discover themes and sometimes it's concepts. Say Heliocentric and Anthropocentric are the two gateway albums into theirlr minds.

    OH MY GOD THANK YOU FOR LISTENING TO THIS! IM LATE TO THE PARTY, BUT IM GLAD YOU TOOK A LISTEN TO THE BAND! Their song Pleistocene from the same album is PHENOMENAL! Edit: Adding on to this, they toured with Leprous in 2021 I believe it was, Maybe 2022? Either way. In the US they toured and the bands are good friends! So yes, you can see some of the influence xD. The most interesting part is the albums. Jurassic | Cretaceous is named after two periods in the Mesozoic era in the Phanerozoic eon. The ocean has now 4 albums going over geologic history, each getting more narrow in time than the last. All albums together are a journey unlike no other. Them 4 albums are like 4 hours, but so worth it. The Jurassic and Cretaceous is the prime of the Non-Avian Dinosaurs. However at the end of the Cretaceous a large asteroid hit the yucatan peninsula and killed off the Non-Avian dinosaurs, which this song references a lot, especially in the later section "The atmosphere red hot From the debris storm All sunlight eclipsed for months Photosynthesis all but stopped Giant forest fires Consume the earth Barren trees stripped of foliage In the rain of tectites We are just like reptiles Giant rulers of the world Within the blink of an eye Wiped off the face of the earth" The first verse here refers to all the disasters after the impact, causing a hell on earth and magnitude 11 earthquake along with a hot as hell landscape, than the second is Comparing human longevity to the dinosaurs and we've only been here not even a fraction of the time. Humans take their existence for granted and it can be stripped away at any given moment.
