bruh the voice that they chose for that robot already sounds like its gonna get fed up with housework and just start a robot uprising itself.

“Hey figure 1, what do you see right now?” “I see humanity fvcking around, about to find out.”

"I- I think I did pretty well" In a depressing voice sounded perfect

"Great can I have something to eat?" "Howabout saying please first bro"

My god! It's already smarter than every roommate I've ever had.

As an elderly person, i would accept an agi robot assistant like this one over the nursing home experience.

A robot that thinks before it speaks...could teach humans a lot.

The way it said, "uh," and stuttered on the "I," was weirdly human.

If you notice, it actually seems to update its visual data on the fly really well. When the demo person asked for something to eat, he didn't reach out to receive the apple until figure 1 was about to hand it to him.

    « Put the dishes on the rack. » « I’m sorry Dave, I’m afraid I can’t do that. » 😱

When you put the Terminator 2 Theme over this, it really changes the mood.

This is insane. The movies are ACTUALLY becoming real. I know its not actually concious, but replicating conciousness can be just as amazing
  • This will be the "rarest" video in the future by which the Robot civilization will learn about their inception.

the robots 'hesitant' speech model adds so much humanity to a machine
  • I'm not sure if you guys noticed a little detail. The apple is food, but it was on a plate. This thing, if real, can distinguish the difference between food that requires handling it on a dish and the type that will be eaten out of your hands. I wonder how it would go if there was chicken on that plate rather than an apple.

To quote Isaac Asimov’s ‘Rest of robots’ from 1964 explaining the origin of the word robot. “This was the play R.U.R. by the Czech writer, Karel Capek. It was written in 1921 and translated into English in 1923. R.U.R. stood for Rossum's Universal Robots. Like Frankenstein, Rossum had discovered the secret of creating artificial men. These were called "robots" from a Czech word meaning "worker," and the word entered the English lauguage and gained a strong hold there. The robots were intended, as their name implies, to be workers, but all goes wrong.”
