Sometimes I get this urge to listen to nothing but Linkin Park, if anything else comes on, I will skip immediately to another Linkin Park song. I guess I can't be the only one.
  • (If you are using earphones/headphones) From 5:10 onwards you can hear Mike's voice from the left speaker and Chester's voice from the right speaker.

The second half of this song is some of their best work. The build up, the drums, the intense vocals and harmonies, pure magic.
  • Rob truly doesn’t get enough recognition, the drums in this song are phenomenal

I play this song in my car for my 3 year old daughter on road trips. Puts her right to sleep every time. But 10 years ago this song served a different purpose. A darker one, one that helped me get through that time in my life. A year later I met my future wife and things haven't been the same since. Now I have a family and we listen to LP during all our roads trips and it's not going to stop. Thanks Chester for helping me through my dark times and I wish I could have helped you through yours. I hope you found peace. Update: I recently separated from my wife back in December of 2020. It is June of 2021 now. We've both moved on and I have found someone else that I love very much. My ex wife and I have decided to remain friends and coparent our daughter. This song has yet again helped me through another dark chapter in my life and will continue to. My life has changed and I'm happy for it and so is my ex wife. Sometimes life doesn't work out the way you think it will and everything happens for a reason. I hope this change is for the better. I feel like it is. Stay positive everyone and always keep your happiness priority #1!

I'm so sad, I grew up with Linkin park, this guy was part of my life..
  • The part that Chester sings "Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh" is like Chester trying to brought me in heaven

As a Katrina survivor, this song still makes me cry. I guess they played it at a fundraiser event for Hurricane Katrina. I didn't hear it till MTM, and it broke me. Its hauntingly beautiful to me, idk how else to explain it. And to this day, it's still my favorite LP song. πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š

Midnight. In the dark. In your bed. And no word to describe that feeling.

Personally I think Chester's voice sounds the most amazing in this song.

Linkin Park seriously was on another level of sonic ability.... the slightest little detail with a great pair of headphones is crazy. especially at 3:10 how that distortion sound matches chester's pitch and then literally travels slowly around your brain... gave me chills and euphoria focusing on it
  • Water gray Through the windows Up the stairs Chilling rain Like an ocean Everywhere Don't want to reach for me, do you? I mean nothing to you The little things give you away And now there will be no mistaking The levees are breaking All you've ever wanted Was someone to truly look up to you And six feet under water, I do Hope decays Generations disappear Washed away As a nation Simply stares Don't want to reach for me, do you? I mean nothing to you The little things give you away But now there will be no mistaking The levees are breaking All you've ever wanted Was someone to truly look up to you And six feet underwater, I do All you've ever wanted Was someone to truly look up to you And six feet underground now I Now I do Little things give you away Little things give you away Little things give you away Little things give you away All you've ever wanted Was someone to truly look up to you (little things give you away) (Little things give you away) All you've ever wanted Was someone to truly look up to you (little things give you away) All you've ever wanted Was someone to truly look up to you (little things give you away) (Little things give you away) All you've ever wanted Was someone to truly look up to you (little things give you away) All you've ever wanted Was someone to truly look up to you (little things give you away) (Little things give you away) All you've ever wanted Was someone to truly look up to you (little things give you away)

One of the best songs on the planet. And no, I'm not exagerrating. Everything from the melody, lyrics to powerful vocals, harmony, instruments. It's such a perfect song with literally no flaws.
  • People talk about songs like Numb, Crawling, etc. But songs like this along with Drawbar, No Roads Left, and many others, are truly amazing and showed their creative depth. I think people will look back at certain songs like this one and realize that this band was misunderstood when they initially existed. Time will only tell.

Fun Fact: This is Pheonix's favorite song

Anyone who is fan of M U S I C in general knows that this is damn near perfect. Even if you’re not an LP fan... the melodies, harmonies, instrumentation, vocal layering etc. it’s legit perfection. A song that still gives me chills to this day.
