Most of the supervisors & managers are disrespectful & they also act like they’ve never been new before

It’s true. The environment is completely toxic and the hours are insane.

I'm a current Mail Handler for the United States Postal Service and they really need to revamp the toxic and unprofessional environment.

No one will ever help postal employee's...No one will ever rectify the problems...its can be a dangerous place to work..

I'm currently dealing with this myself. You wouldn't believe the stuff they want is to do and when we aren't fast enough, we get bullied. It needs to change.

All Employees will be treated with DIGNITY & RESPECT out the window 🪟

Managers with NO MAIL PROCESSING KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERIENCE just the mental of I'm in charge DO AS I SAY 😢😢😢

Staffing is just a fraction of the problem. Ineptitude and poor management is initiated from the top on down. A workforce is only as strong as its leader.
  • Most of the employees are toxic, not just the supervisors. Employees treating new hires with disdain and contempt and then we wonder why they quit. We can't blame the environment all on supervisors and management take a look in the mirror

Being a regular clerk at the post office is horrible now because they hear all the constant complaints but they have nothing to do with it. It's sad. If you have a good clerk at your local office and a good mail carrier , be thankful because they are all leaving. They are treated like shit nowadays from management and sadly the public also.

Its happening in all sectors, all across America. Unlawful work practices, harassment, inability to reasonably accommodate, its insane. Its happening in every public sector job through nepotism fostering that culture of toxicity for so long. Now, its not a matter of whether or not you work in a toxic environment. It's how much toxicity can you consume.
  • Both my Father and Grandfather retired from the post office after the Navy. When I got out and said I wanted to work for the post office they both said they would disown me.
  • I'm a mail carrier in Ohio who is also autistic. My time as a CCA gave me multiple meltdowns that still exist today. When management found this out, they pretended to care about me until I offered suggestions on how to deal with them. They never took me up on them because following orders from higher ups is apparently more important than maintaining a healthy work environment. As a now regular they've actually treated me worse.

I cleaned two post offices for about four months. The USPS is a garbage environment.
  • The work is brutal. The way they are treated is worse that any other job. Someone needs to do something and give those employees some dignity. The supervisors nest and treat them like nobody.

USPS doesn't hire full time employees, but you are a contract hire, no guarantee of hours, have be oncall without pay from 6Am to 4:30pm all 7 days a week. No benifits. So why would anyone want to work for them? I don't.

Worked there for 8 years. Horrible management, overworked and understaffed. Amazon has literally destroyed the USPS with their insane amount of parcels and Giant parcels. It's so sad how many great, hard working employees I saw just say " enough is enough " and leave. The Post office has always been a shitshow to work at , but the one upside was it paid very well. Not anymore. Now they only pay a little above even the most basic jobs, so no one wants to work there. Especially in the rural offices where the drivers have to provide and maintain their own vehicles. Please don't blame the carriers and office clerks for the terrible management of the Post Office. They try their best and if you have a good one, you are lucky because they are leaving in droves and not coming back.
