"The Night Won’t End," a new documentary from Al Jazeera English, takes an in-depth look at attacks on civilians by the Israeli military in Gaza and the United States’ role in the war. The film follows three Palestinian families as they recount the horrific experiences they have endured under relentless Israeli assault, including the family of 6-year-old Hind Rajab, the young Palestinian girl who made headlines when it emerged in January that she had been trapped in a car with family members killed by Israeli ground troops, and the Salem family, who first lost dozens of family members in an Israeli airstrike and then additional family members who were executed by Israeli soldiers. We play clips from the documentary and speak to journalists Kavitha Chekuru and Sharif Abdel Kouddous, the director and correspondent on "The Night Won’t End," respectively. We also discuss the plight of journalists in Gaza and U.S. complicity in Israel’s war. “There’s no question that U.S. weapons have killed civilians in Gaza,” says Kouddous. “This violates both international humanitarian law and domestic law.”

After watching this video, I found the spot on my map app where the little girl was calling for help and labelled it "Hind Hanoud", to remember how devilish human can be under millions of excuses and how little innocent souls like Hind's can be wasted in this way. Hind, you were just too beautiful for this world. Rest in peace.

The phone call between Hind's cousin and the first responders and then the call center with Hind after her entire family had been slaughtered was so haunting. I don't know how anyone could listen to that and think that this war is justified.

I am a mother of a six year old daughter and two year old son and I am sobbing while watching this. Why? Why are we doing this? It’s heartbreaking to know what my tax dollars are funding. I hate being American. My taxes just kill people

Ban AIPAC. Keep money for American FAMILIES in Need
  • RUBBLE Why was I born in the rubble, Did I do something wrong, get into trouble? Will I end my life under the rubbles weight, Living in this hazy, suffocating state? Please don't silence my voice or condemn my plea, For talking of rubble and seeking your empathy.
  • The sound of that precious little girl's voice pleading for help - should haunt us all forever. This is soul-crushing. My heart is aching so bad for these people.

Amy, this segment of Democracy Now reminds me of the written account of " Khaled Mhajne, a lawyer who was able to meet with Palestinian prisoners in the now infamous Sde Teiman Israeli detention camp. He described what he called "criminal" situation " beyond imagination '. Mhajne told Al Araby Al Jadeed that " over 1,000 Palestinians from Gaza are being held in Sde Teiman where journalist Mohammad Arab also is held in isolation "for months" and where living conditions are just as bad as those in the Gaza strip. He writes: " The war being waged against Palestinian prisoners, especially against the prisoners from the Gaza Strip , is a war no less criminal than what the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are experiencing, ". All of these atrocious actions from Israeli soldiers against unarmed , helpless, innocent Palestinians make for a highly uniquely insensitive, insanely cruel future generation of Israelis. Those who choose to be associated with such quality of 'humans' will surely end up just like these described "humans." and their superiors.

If BRIBERY is a criminal act for all employees , likewise it should be a criminal offense for the LOBBYISTs and lawmakers/congressmen.
  • The World will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch without doing anything.

I lost my daughter when. she was born. This is one of the reasons I teach visual arts to kids. I am histerical crying as I watch this segments. WHAT is this hell on earth? What kind of. person does this? Who are these Israeli solders that are capable of doing such horrors? This is not a war. This is a genocide.
  • @adammsa5303
Benjamin Mileikowsky needs to stop this conflict for the safety of everyone. from the 2 sides.
  • @marrisa17
It is difficult to breathe seeing the death, the destruction, and the abuse inflicted upon the Palestinian people. The child's gaze while his mother recounts the torture and killing of his father is devastating.
  • This will become a groundbreaking film. Thank you for producing it🙏❤️
