Let's not forget Pete is solely responsible for making Russ one of the highest paid players in sports(put him in a position to obtain generational wealth). We saw how Russ looked first season away from Pete. We saw how Geno looked first year with Pete. This speaks volumes about Pete Carrol ..and the situation in whole volumes about Russell Wilson.

Seahawks fan here. A part of me will always love Russ. That being said, it sucked watching him transform into a Rockstar/Diva type. He drank too much of his own kool-aid(with nano bubbles).

“That ‘open door’ should’ve been his locker…” Heavy duty TRUTH.
  • Rich gives an honest and well thought analysis of sports. I enjoy how he doesn't always have to be right, unlike Stephen A Smith and Skip Bayless.
  • I've always said "In Pete and John We Trust." Never have I ever thought of saying (even though it rhymes) "In Russ We Truss." John built the team and Pete built the system that supported Russ and accentuated his strengths while masking his weaknesses.

Rich is my fav, always fair, honest, respectful, funny n fun!
  • Denver traded the farm and broke the bank for Wilson out of desperation after Rodgers snubbed them and they had already hired Hackett. The new ownership knew they had to make a splash signing at QB, so they were willing to give Wilson anything he wanted as he was the only brand-name veteran available and they had to save face with the fans. They were probably hoping that the regression he was already showing in Seattle when he arrived could be magically turned around by a first-time HC. It couldn't. Classic rookie owner move. Welcome to Walmart.

Brockman’s comment, “so the Broncos are going to be your new Raiders this year?” Mic drop!😂

Russell Wilson's office situation in military terms is the lieutenant who doesn't eat, breathe, sleep, etc with the men (sergeants, corporals, privates) -- instead he'd prefer to be with the top brass

2nd floor or 1st floor he still threw like garbage. What’s more fascinating is that we see Belicheck call out Brady for years but Russ doesn’t pay attention to that, instead he wants to be treated above everyone. What a humble guy he is. 🤣🤣🤣
  • Remember the first week of the NFL when Seahawks fans were criticized for booing Russell Wilson that seems like 50 years ago
  • started his career with one of the best defenses in NFL history I loved Russ when he was getting 400k a year as soon as he got paid paid I couldnt stand him he took all the credit for that defense imo
  • "I never wanted them fired" means he didn't "want" them to get fired, but he thought firing them was the move, so he tried to make it happen. If he didn't try to get them fired, he would have said "I never tried to get them fired," not, "I never wanted them fired."
  • @lavbatra
Pete’s success went to Russ’s head!
  • @r.parker8299
I followed Russ from his days playing at NCSU 🐺 here in North Carolina and can tell you success clearly went to his head. As much as he appears to be humble and appreciative he is not the same man he was back in the beginning.🧐

Pete was the one who drafted him and named him the starting qb as a rookie over Matt Flynn. Wilson owes so much to Pete. I don’t think any decent person including Wilson can be that kind of an ungrateful jerk.
