We challenged a group of cheerleaders to try to keep up with synchronized divers. Cheerleaders Hayley, DJ, and Kristen train to complete three diving challenges and put them together into one synchronized routine. Can Hayley adapt her gymnastics skills to nail the perfect dive? Will DJ manage to synchronize his arms before hitting the water? Will all three of our cheerleaders be able to do pull off the final challenge? These amazing athletes take the ultimate test to prove they can adapt to new techniques and try to keep up with their daring diving coaches.

I just love the mutual respect between the athletes in this. They switch between teaching and learning, but are always respectful. I just imagine them going out to drinks together afterwards.

"Whatever feels more comfortable." "None of it." 😂 Loved that honesty.

I feel like Olivia and Kristen are so good at their own sports their bodies don’t know how to move any other way (Olivia was slightly awkward in the cheerleading video). I love how fearless and eager everyone is to try something new though.

I love how even when they messed up they still gave them nothing but praise/positive reinforcement and good scores. In both videos, everyone was so professional and humble 🥺

One of my favorite things about this whole series is seeing how different athletes’ bodies can be. There are so many different ways to be strong. (Edited to fix typo)

During the final challenge I thought “these guys are good at cheering each others!” And then I realised 😂

As a dive coach I cannot tell you how much I LOVE this! I’ve also coached HS cheer and the strength these sports need are similar even if nothing else is. My team also LOVES Olivia 💚💚💚. She is the sweetest and such an amazing teacher

I don't mean this in any leering kind of way but watching Joey's muscles move under his skin was so fascinating. He had to have like 0% bodyfat so every muscle was visible as it did it's job and it was so cool to watch! I can't imagine the time he puts into his craft to achieve that.
  • Love this combo! Looking forward to the divers keeping up with the cheerleaders! It will be really interesting to see how their dry land training translates to cheerleading.

The one who represents the Philippines warms my heart

My fear with the hurdle on the board is that I'm going to slip off of the board. I know that they design the boards so that this is much less likely to happen, but that fear is still there. lol.

I love seeing the confidence in both when teaching their sport but also the eagerness and willingness to try each other’s. You can definitely tell where they are most comfortable and confident
  • As a beginner swimmer, I'm just in admiration of everyone's comfort in that deep water. 😂
  • @Tumini1026
It's funny because you see how their bodies automatically react like they do in cheerleading and then they try to switch and do that little "aaah!" Before touching the water xD Kristen looked nervous but I'm sure if she gets comfortable she'll be amazing
  • As a beginner diver, let me put it on record that this is more impressive on the cheerleaders' part than it looks!!!!!!!!
  • @LapostropheAura
They really improved so much in just one day!!! Was so excited DJ went for the one and a half!
  • @tweedyparam8951
Both cheerleading and synchronised diving is hard. Awsome!!!! Good job guys.

Haley rocked out following those instructions and transitioning well to dvivng! DJ was great too! But the actual divers, great teachers...beautiful to watch them in their craft🥰
