He is the kid that writes in the comment section “I run 400m in 44 secs at 16 am I cooked?”
  • "So how was your guy's summer break?" "Yeah I just qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trails, nothing too crazy."
  • @trevormay101
Might not have his license yet but might go to the Olympics… what a fucking DAWG
  • @epweezy1
Quincy is definitely special, something we will see once in a lifetime. I’m rooting for that young man. May he prosper 🙏🏾
  • @tonyb685
He will make the team because he will handle the rounds and recover better than the older guys
  • To make the Olympic trails at 16 is mind blowing! :face-blue-wide-eyes: To beat experienced senior athletes who have trained for years and win your heat is out of this world! If somehow he actually made the top three, I would have no words to describe that human feat! :face-fuchsia-wide-eyes:
  • Before the race, I thought there was no way. But seeing him shave .4 off of his pb makes me think it's possible. I think he went all out to win that heat though...but I hope I'm wrong.
  • 44.66 is unbelievably fast for a 16 year old. Just a year ago that was only 0.3 away from the European record! Still, the title is not true, in that Quincy Wilson is not the fastest teenager in history. He’s the fastest U18 athlete in history, but Sam Ogazi still ran 44.58 at 17, Karabo Sibanda ran 44.25 at 18 (Abdalelah Haroun 44.27 at 18, Kirani James 44.60 at 18), and Steve Lewis ran 43.87 back in 1988 (and 18 total 19 year olds have run faster than 44.66).
  • “Will Quincy Wilson make the 2024 US Olympic Team?” He certainly has the talent to finish in the top 3. The only question is does he have the wherewithal to survive the opening rounds and BRING IT to the Final. Experienced athletes learn how to pace themselves through the opening rounds. I think youth and adrenaline will frevail and carry Wilson to Paris in the Mens 400.
  • Thanks TRP. Another great video. It has been often said, at least relating to the Sprint events, "That it is more difficult to make the US Olympic Track team in sprinting, than it is to actually medal at the Olympics." Over the decades that has proven to be so true. It's very clear: The first 3 who finish in an event, make the Olympic team in that event. (Providing they also have achieved the Olympic qualifying standard.) At past trials there have been current world record holders and defending Olympic champions who have missed out making the team, simply because they did not finish in the first 3 at the Trials. Cheers.

Barring injury, he's going to be the the one to break the 400 WR and maybe dip into 42 seconds. I know it's bad to put those expectations on him, but I just 100% believe it
  • @ladend99
My prediction for the finals are. Quincy Hall Quincy Wilson Chris Bailey Matthew Boling Vernon Norwood Michael Normon Bryce Dedmond Justin Robinson Elijah Godwin
  • This kid ran 2 44 splits in one day and brought his team back after they fell in both races. This is not a matter of will he make the team. It's a matter of who will be the one to push him to his limit. This kid has never been pushed and when it happens, Michael Johnson better watch out! Records are meant to be broken!
  • Young man it stepping up when it counts. Sign of greatness 💯.
  • Hope the young baby has something left for the remaining 2 Rounds 🤞
  • @hikerboater
Like he said in the interview, he had nothing to lose, so he went out 100%. Be real surprised if he can improve on what he did today. I think he'll make it. Top 6.
