Here you can see the split flow system with one DWC beds and extensions pipes for either another DWC bed or grow towers.

This thing will run inside on the third floor of our house. I will add some lights and an air conditioner and cooling fans.

The system uses one pump. Water flows from the sump tank( bed is also part of the sump tank) to both the beds and to the 2 fish tanks. Excess water then flows to the swirl filter. The swirl filter is packed with bio mass material and the blue net and I also has aeration with a stone hanged just above the mid area of the filter. Water exit through the blue plastic mesh as well as the fiber material. This way the swirl filter will act as an early stage bio filter by braking down the solids but not allowing them to escape using the bio plastic material, the mesh and the fiber material.

Water then gravity flows to the pond bio filter that I purchased. I just wanted to increase the efficiency and avoiding trouble of finding part. It looks good and we will see what it does.

Water would then flow to the sump tank in which it is also connected to the DWC grow bed. This way, in case of any pump failure, the bed will have water all the time, fish as well and both the two filters. A bigger pump might be needed if I add another bed or grow bed.

Aeration pump for the fish will be added as well as the automatic fish feeders. More post to follow upon progress.
