  • It's amusing how many statements are made saying the Kodiak bear is the largest land carnivore and that the polar bear is the largest predatory carnivore. Then you read that the polar bear is a MARINE mammal, so it's technically not a "land" carnivore. All the lit I've read puts the biggest of each at about the same size, so IMO it's a moot point. But one thing for sure: if you're in polar bear country and he's hungry, he will hunt you and eat you. The same can't always be said about the brown bear.
  • Nice hunts! My brother shot a nice white tail but it was really wet and the little bit of snow was melting and it was dark, we found a few drops of blood but not much and I wasn’t feeling good about it. We tracked it to the heavy brush with very little sign but as soon as we entered the really thick stuff it had let loose like a garden hose and was may 20 yards in, 9 point with a 18.5 inch spread.

Wow! Second guy not fit enough to be out there, WTF. Guide must really need the Money, holy crap.
  • You ask any bear expert who has seen both the polar bear and Kodiak bear, they will confirm that the Kodiak bear is infact bigger
  • Goes to show you all at the end of video. One doesn't need to pump a bear full of led in order to kill him.

Did your gun jam or did you short stroke the action? Common mishap when under duress.
  • Reminds me of Sherpas who get taxed with taking total rookies up to the summit of Everest...

Watching this video, I see one common theme, good majority of “hunters “ that come, are ill prepared at best, physically, mentally and not properly equipped..

Savage makes rifles for lefties. At least they did; it have one chambered in .243. Also Mauser which I have in .375 H&H that I used on an Alaskan griz years ago. Why is this guy shooting a rifle with a right hand action when he's a lefty?
  • Hunting brown bear in thick stuff with a 3 pos safety Ruger... Why was the chamber empty giving the opportunity to "jam"??
  • @VTSteve
What caused the jam, user inexperience or panic?
  • @VTSteve
Damn, I'm so sorry to be negative, but shouldn't you have a lot more hunting experience to go after Brown Bear, than Squirrels?!!
  • @michaelford2517
Actually, most bears are omnivores polar bears are the only bears that are true carnivores..

아무리 허가받고하는 사냥이라지만 살아있는 생명체를 총으로쏘는 영상까지 보여주는것은 영 아니다

If you're out there, and spot after spot you can't find a Kodiak bear, perhaps there aren't many left and you shouldn't be out desperately trying to kill one for some human reason?
