  • Dripping in diamonds, atop the Eiffel Tower, like a conquering hero, coming back from 4 years of no singing, health issues, on a rainy night in Paris, the City of Love, a song about love, as the Olympic flame rises. This was an Olympic level performance.

If you watch the documentary you`ll understand just how amazing it is that she succeeded in doing that. Such a brave lady and an amazing voice.❤❤❤❤❤❤
  • If she never sings another note this will be a legacy worth remembering. A great performance.

Celine Dion - Hymn a l'Amour 💖☮💖 Incredible performance. Pure Magic. Edith Piaf smiled from Heaven on Céline Dion. Nobody could have sung this better.

Her voice is outstanding.! I watched her documentary and to hear her singing, she has done herself proud & her family.xx
  • @KaliFlamingo
She also sang this song in 2015 at the AMAs as a tribute to victims of the Paris terrorist attacks. She was very emotional then as well. This one was special for the circumstances.

The French Canadian singer the proud of Québec and Canada, Céline Dion what a fantastic performance , she feels it, in our times no one like her can interpret that beautiful song of Edith Piaf. So great she can did that. God bless Céline.

I was so happy to see her yesterday. She was fabulous! I cried when watching her documentary. She’s going through so much. It’s on Prime Video in the US. It’s very hard to watch. I watched the Olympic opening show (retired without a lot to do 😂) and it rained almost the entire time. I’m sure it was miserable weather for the spectators. Yes, do more Celine!

It brought me to tears, both because of her own tragic backstory and the song she sang borne of heartbreak, Edith Piaf's "Hymne à l'amour", composed after her lover was killed in a plane crash. If you know what the lyrics mean you'd have to have a heart of stone not to feel it: If the sky should fall into the sea And the stars fade all around me For the times that we have known here I will sing a hymn to love We have lived and dreamed, we two alone In a world that seemed our very own With it's memory ever grateful Just for you, I'll sing a hymn to love I remember each embrace The smile that lights your face And my heart begins to sing Your arms, the hands secure Your eyes that said, "Be sure" And my heart begins to sing If one day we had to say goodbye And our love were to fade away and die In my heart you will remain dear I will sing a hymn to love Those who love will live eternally In the blue, where all is harmony With my voice raised high to heaven Just for you, I'll sing a hymn to love.
