My entire oven door comes off completely, with a gentle pull, as there are hinged latches, that seat into the oven door. This was one of the features of my oven of 25 years back already and still going strong today !

Oven pride is the easiest way to clean the oven. You did a great job.

I don't know whether they are still used, but I used to have an oven with partial catalytic liners. These have to be avoided when cleaning as the coatings can be damaged.

I worked on quality control at the factory where this was made and if I had a pound for every one of those bottle caps I had to check I would be a wealthy man 😅.

Interesting. I am yet to find an over cleaner that actually works and doesn't smell awful. Or a maid that can actually scrub it hard enough so I don't have to. Steam cleaners don't seem to work either. Only on TV. I surely wash the removable parts in the dishwasher but it doesn't work either. 😬 Those black trays seem to hate dishwashers too, mine is full of rust. I will hopefully find a stainless replacement one day in the future 😁 I am happy to see you're going all "breaking bad, yay science". I think I let my stuff get too dirty for it to work. I'll try to find the same products in The Netherlands, maybe I get things a bit less ugly, at least. I am impressed with your results.

I’m sure you know chef, knock up a bicarbonate soda slurry, and paint it on inside of oven ..err not on glass.. , it dries to a white mess lol, but cleaning is easy , and it lasts ages before you need to actually clean…using wet cloth. Another alternative , for racks and stained pots and pans is to get strong black bin liner , and use ammonia..not a lot .. probs half a cup. And knot the bag. I believe it’s the fumes that do it. It’s all on the university of you tube.. 💡🔥
  • You are meant to cut across the corners of the bags with the scissors and then you can empty the dirty water from the bags down the drain and dispose of them in the bin,it will tell you that on the back of the box or in the instructions as ive used this myself in the past thats how i know,it would have been easier for you too as you could have reopened them after emptying them and folded them up small and put in your bin.

wouldve been good , to access the oven by removing the glass door giving you an easier method of reaching in .

I'd soak all mine then chuck it all in the dishwasher works everytime no scrubbing required
  • I wonder can you pour the liquid into a spray bottle and spray door and pans all over instead of rotating bag with glass inside.
