I want a one take record...that was what I thought when I decided to cover this song. Probably most of you think that it is boring or too much static for a video cover, but for me it's a quality assurance. Yes, recording in one take it means more mistakes, more work and a great demonstration of technique, but for a guitarist, it's a great satisfaction. Anyway, crack the skye, in my personal opinion, has the best arrangement in whole mastodon's discography: a perfect harmony of all instruments, great heavy parts, a wonderful middle arpeggio. For that reason, I recorded the song in 3 different channel: the main guitar is in both channel (L and R), arpeggio in right channel and the rhythm guitar on left. Please, ENJOY THE COVER WITH HEADPHONE, I emphasized some guitars track in different channel.

    I'd be lying if I didn't say I'm disappointed to see this on a seven string as opposed to a six, but nonetheless you did a pretty good fucking job of this song dude. much appreciated for the clear view of the fretboard too. I just started learning this and I'm trying to find the most efficient fingering positions to play.

    I don’t know shit about guitars but it sounds nice, maybe a bit weird because it’s a 7-string and not a 6-string like the original, but it makes it sound more unique.
