Overcoming Doubt Like Jesus Did

Doubt is not something to overcome --- it is to be embraced and used as a tool to find truth. Religion criminalizes doubt and skepticism --- and speaks of faith as strength. Belief is a cognitive act that ascribes the status of truth to propositions that are not convincingly (or at all) supported by evidence or logically coherent. Believers knowingly suspend the requirements of evidence and the logical analysis of evidence --- that is, they set aside doubt and critical thinking (skepticism) --- to uphold their world view. Doubt is not a barrier, it is a path through chaos and confusion to truth. Belief is not strength or courage, it is a chain that holds the mind to a stone far beneath the water's surface.

If you are struggling with doubt, it's likely you are thinking. If you approach the bible (or any book, article, treatise) with a critical and skeptical mindset, it's likely you are seeking the truth.

Excellent video. I agree... appeal to the Bible primarily, if not alone. Reason will NEVER be enough. I have seen Christians use solid philosophical arguments for years and eventually became atheists. We are in a spiritual battle and must use spiritual weapons.

I dont doubt God, He has done His work, but we have a work to do.( overcoming sin, accepting His power) our work is evidence of our belief in Him…thats what i doubt…..my part!…am i doing His will? Or am i saying “ Lord Lord”?

The salesmen of religion want and need you to see doubt as weakness because if you do, the door to your mind and heart is wide open to the charlatans.

How can you doubt Jesus when you know He is the God who spoke to israel in the old testament and then became flesh in the name of Jesus in the new testament.

Jesus says Love your enemy. Thats the direction to Go.. judge who is right based on what is right. Not symbols, man made names, color or Gender.

When you talk about the text in Malachi, I noticed you took it out of context. Which the majority of SDA pastors or ministers tend to do. I like the majority of what you say, except when you take a proof text out of context. Which is what you accuse other protestant pastors of doing. You are normally on a higher level than this. I expect better, perhaps that is expecting to much.
