Her personality is basically the same, but she becomes less reserved the longer she knows Sheldon & the people in his life.

She acted like a robot because she was alone. Being with Sheldon and getting friends began to release her humanity. Kind of like Seven on Voyager.

It was penny and bernadette who helped transform her from being a female sheldon to an all around individual, they helped her out of her social awkwardness and gave her the skills and feelings needed

I almost didnt notice the fact that they recasted Amy's mom when she actually came in person to meet Amy. I felt the second mom and the first mom cast has an entirely different personality (obviously coz different people but still) and based on the cast, Amy's description of her mom also changed. He just became more of a villain as the series progressed. Lol
