Tropics Update: Hurricane Teddy and Tropical Storm Beta

13News Now Meteorologist Tim Pandajis has the latest on Hurricane Teddy, which is expected to not affect the U.S. and Tropical Storm Beta, which should be making landfall around the Texas/Louisiana coastline. Paulette is also slowly dying out. It's a post-tropical cyclone heading east in the Atlantic.

  • I’m 61 years old and live in Florida most of my life. Been through 24 hurricanes, too many tornadoes to count and several flash flood storms. I will never underestimate any storm coming. I thank God I’m still alive to witness more!

    Remnants of Sally hit the north west coast of Norway today, where I live. 80 mph gust and up to 4-5 inches of rain. This system traveled far, and still packed a punch. Looks like Teddy is next

    Question.. I know that names are retired and replaced if they cause significant destruction and loss of life (i.e. Katrina and Andrew). If a Greek named storm were to meet those requirements and require retirement. Would they just remove the name altogether?
