This interview alone shows JJ’s ability to not only build long lasting relationships but also bring out the human side of these players. It’s so much easier to ask the difficult questions when theirs mutual respect.

JJ is the perfect example of never burn bridges and always be a good teammate as well as a good person.
  • Guts over fear
Seeing Simmons side of the story clears a lot of things up
Shout out to JJ for being a good teammate on and off the court

This was an awesome and much needed talk with Ben Simmons. It is nice to have him able to speak his side of the story, clear up some total bs that got mixed in with whatever else happened. He seems like such a refreshing nice person. Someone who deserves a fresh start. That said, I think he will be great on the Nets, it is the best team he could have landed on. I'm really looking forward to seeing their games!

This appearance from Ben was great, all we get as fans is the filtered crap from the mainstream media agendas and the on court moments. To get a genuine, real look at who these NBA players really are is awesome! Changed some opinions of mine about Ben!

I wish him the best with Brooklyn
  • Can't believe we're finally gonna hear Simmons' side of the story

As a Sixer fan I wish I Ben did hold himself just a little more accountable about him not living up to his full potential, because at the end of the day thats all Philly really wanted from him & I’m sure they would’ve loved to have Ben & Joel work out & eventually bring a Championship to Philly. Happy his head is in a good spot though nonetheless, he’s going to ball in Brooklyn for sure. But JJ, you should try to get James Harden on the podcast, i would love to see that interview, keep up the great work my guy

I thoroughly enjoyed this entire interview. Ben doesn't seem to be the bad guy the media and fans made him out to be all this time, people just don't like to wait to hear the other sides of stories. Wish him all the best in his NBA return.

I loved this! Been rooting for him and defending him heavily! Generational talent! Glad he spoke out and is in a better space.
  • Can't believe that he experienced all that personal matter while also dealing with so much hate because of basketball, Can't wait to see him play and I'm so excited for him!
  • MasterM2k
I’m a sixers fan , and I really hope Ben get back to being his old self if not better basketball wise . I always felt he didn’t deserve to be dragged the way he was

Shout out to JJ and the team this was needed to clear things out. When it comes to mental health we ought to approach it methodically and get to the root of it all. Also J Will is the man for reaching out and talking to Ben when he was down. It’s easy to judge someone and talk negatively about them but it’s even easier to simply lend an ear!

Thank you for humanizing players JJ🙏🏾
  • Thank you JJ. I don't think Ben would have gave this interview to anybody else. You brought the best out in him you made him feel comfortable you were an ultimate professional. It's nice to see him with a little bit of confidence and smiling again I can't wait to see what kind of season he has
  • This was a great interview. I'm glad Ben was given a safe platform to tell his side of the story. JJ, your platform and podcast is much needed. Rooting for Ben to have a great season!
