In this video I repair and explain about the fault that happened to this 2013 27" iMac. This was actually board 2 of 2 that had the same fault after the same external hard drive was plugged into one of the USB-A ports on this machine after killing the first machine. The result on both boards was the bad drive killed the U7600 IC (3.3V & 5V Regulator). I replace and get the board working again. Hope this can help someone else.

    Is there no protection on this circuit for such things? Apple!
