In this video we'll explore a new horror movie that caught my attention: Stopmotion 2024. It was weird... in a good way.

I'm a 90s kid this is giving me "Tool" flashbacks!! Those videos were so bizarre!

4 hours of Darude Sandstorm sounds like my kind of jam

As someone who went to school for animation and was acquainted with some stop-motion students.... only an animator could make this type of film. A very "Inside Sports" type of filmmaking.

Really love your videos! keep up the great work my friend ☺️ Thanks from England
  • You give very constructive criticism, makes me want to see the movie just to see how I think about it. Definitely subscribing
  • This was made by Robert Morgan, the same guy who made The Cat With Hands, Bobby Yeah, and Tomorrow I Will Be Dirt. If it wasn't weird and fucked up, I would be very disappointed.

If the band "Tool" made a horror film

You may want to read the book Ant Kind. Ant Kind, written by Charlie Kaufman, is about a stop animation film that has a run time of 90 days.

Is this a documentary about Mad God?

Watch basically any tool music video or watch the brothers quay.

This movie actually achieved an impact on me. Might be the first horror movie to do that. Im not saying the story itself or the ending is good, but the movie sure did something that I will remember. Loved the visuals too.

I don't know about anybody else, but stop-motion has ALWAYS given me a weird feeling in the pit of my stomach. I don't even know why.  I've seen movies like The Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline, The Corpse Bride, Chicken Run, and ParaNorman multiple times, and a few years back I watched Box-Trolls for the first time, so it's not even that I AVOID watching stop-motion. But something about it just always feels...off. In fact, listening to him talk about how it sort of exists around uncanny valley, may have been the first time I understood that this could be the reason it makes me vaguely uncomfortable.

This definitely has to be from the same person who had the stop motion sequence in ABC’s of Death
  • @jessi55290
Is this from the guy who made Bobby Yeah? The stop-motion and the puppet design have a very similar style to it.

Reminds me of late night art short films on pbs. Unsettling ,upsetting , but extremely effective.

Do you ever watch/review any hammer horror films? I'd really love to see your take on some of the older Christopher lee and Peter Cushing horrors.

3:17 new bob the builder is scarier than any horror movie I've seen
  • I love looking at a large list of reviews on movies/games/ etc... When someone praises it, they suddenly become professional critics writing long articles on why it is good. When the reviewer hates the movie they just pop in with one star and say 'its bad' if they say anything at all.
