Have you ever dreamed of owning a house on the beach? For some people that dream became reality. And for some that reality was stripped away. While driving through the beach towns of northern Florida I stumbled upon a beach house that seemed to be abandoned for quite sometime. The people that used to own this little piece of paradise were both lawyers who had this home as a vacation house. But sometime around 2014 the house was hit by a tropical storm causing severe water damage and structural damage to the house. The couple both ended up passing away just a few years after the storm and the house was completely left abandoned with their furniture still left behind. Now it seems that there might be plans of demolition for a newer bigger beach house. So join me today and let’s see what’s left.

  • We're living in Barbados for a few months, and there are so many abandoned or unfinished homes. You wonder what the story is behind them? It looks like many people have big plans but run out of money before they get the roof on! The problem for a lot of people is they have no construction skills themselves and labour is expensive! Few people now want to go into manual trades as it is hard physical work. So those that do can make good money. Anyway, great documenting, enjoying your newly discovered channel 😊

Big banks, you should always, always have a companion with you, at the very least, for security.

We lived on the beach, from 2009 until 2010, and my asthma never returned. Best place that I have always loved... anywhere salt water is. Beautiful home... thank You 🌅💖🌅
  • Gotta love it, Abandoned houses with appliances newer than what I got, LOL

This house has a very 90s aesthetic. I almost thought the kitchen would be full of sunflowers 🌻
  • that iridescent blue!!!!! I wanted to paint the Caribbean Ocean on my Master Bath Ceiling. Took me at least 15 "ocean" colors. Then the accidental mix of glaze and pearlized white paint to Sponge on the ceiling. I live in the Pacific Northwest. LOVE my feelings of the Caribbean!!! PAINT MAGIC IS........EVERYTHING!!!!!!

I’m in Missouri now. Lived in Florida for 16 years. Loved it. Love to see homes from there. Makes me want to go back. Would love to see more from Florida.

Love these videos but today, I’m in deep mourning as I just lost my aunt who was like my mother this week. But this reminded me of her because she and my uncle had a place in northern FL. Pajama city beach, actually. We used to go every summer until they sold it serveral years back. Also the Bible verse in the beginning, I found some comfort in seeing this today. Thank you for showing it and you are also so kind and respectful of the properties you show. ❤
  • I really liked how this beach house was light and airy,I bet it was a beautiful house before that storm struck the area ❤

That’s beach energy :). All positive ions coming off the water. I’m sure it’s why most are drawn to live close by.

This house not very plush so it may have been a weekend place for family and a rental combined. Furniture left and pictures very casual and low end. Which makes sense for light family use and rental. The lot is more valuable than the house!??

I think I heard you say in the beginning that this is/was a beautiful mansion, I’m shocked, you usually have better taste. The black bathroom was the only thing I saw that wasn’t a cheap, cookie cutter plain large house. No wonder they didn’t repair it after it was damaged. It reminds me of a bad timeshare place. Build it cheap with no personality, just plain bare essentials. Maybe it was built so that family or friends could come and stay on the beach for a few days at time. I’m not sure why I said so much but anyway…. Thanks for the video, you can’t win them all.

That view! How beautiful. The house from the outside looked nice but it seemed that the stairs were just so cheaply made and put together. Thanks for sharing your find😊
  • @ritasmith9553
Yeah, black tile has a tendency to look really messy if you don't tend to EVERY. LITTLE. DROPLET/RUN OF WATER. It is pretty, but a real pain to keep looking nice every day.
