Brad i got to give you a ton of credit for making sure every little detail is taken care of for Flair so they get the house of their dreams. There have been a few things you could of said well lets do it this way because it would have been easier but you made sure to stick to every detail no matter what it took to get it done. Great Job Brad

@BRAD, Hey bud the house is looking great. The gun safe room, have you guys thought about making the bookcase slide open against the wall or building the wall out and put it INSIDE THE WALL; that way the vault door can open the same way and it would clear it just fine. It would be super cool seeing the bookcase get sucked into the wall and then doing a code on the vault door. Im betting the leak is unfortunately still going to happen. You may have to dig up the front to reseal the outside. I really think you may have hydrostatic pressure problems, tho im not sure 100%. Id do the hat cupboard the same stain as whatever you have as the trim on the wood wall. Also u may want to check with Flair but that wood wall upstairs where its painted blue, I believe Flair wanted to know if u were covering the blue with more wood like below it. As for the pole barn, my bro in law is getting one this summer. We had to draw it out, hes putting an L-shaped staircase on the back wall where on the wall with 1 garage door then against the corner, and up the side. Give you maximum floor plan and u wont lose footage. We are putting a drop zone with lockers and a bench; and a bathroom all under these stairs. Hes also putting in a fridge for water/pop and a little sitting space just to relax inbetween jobs so he doesnt have to keep going up to the house. Hes saving the other walls for benches and all his tools and tool chests. He also has a couple of lifts going in, and hes putting in a overhead system to lift engines etc. Upstairs we are making an elevator similar to what u did at Andrews house, a bit bigger. That way hes got an entire second floor on 1 side of the garage. And he can build a small one on the other side later, we just gotta see about the lifts. Andrew may want a lift for working on side by sides, ans cars etc, may not idk. I know a pulley system or winch comes in handy. Hope this helps.

I am so glad Andrew hired you for his house, you got yourself a big push on here from him. I think you give off This old house vibes and that is why I enjoy watching your videos.

I’ve really been enjoying the content! Me and the wife are looking at building in the future and you’ve been a WEALTH of knowledge! Appreciate you and your awesome skills! Flair got lucky when he got you!
  • I've done custom cabinets for builds loved the staining vid and the 2x vid of Tom's building. It was relaxing seeing that.
  • I am almost done painting my apartment and I am doing it my self... lots of inspiration from you and your channel. Thanks Brad. 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
  • Alot of flair house looks like a house we did for a non profits fundraising location. They even did the automated screens on the back porch. We did samething staged in garage and eventually bleed into the solarium.
  • Makes me think about rr buildings the detail they go through building is quite incredible and it's only two guys doing it all.
  • @EdWolfram
A door on each of the ends works out better than down the sides. A center aisle that you can back/pull into the sides to store items/vehicles/lumber that remains accessible verses buried in a corner.
  • @Matt-yg8ub
When it comes to that vault door, if you have to hinge them both (from the cameras perspective) the left, build a recess into the bookshelf to accommodate the vault door handle… that probably entails designing a fake exterior for the bookshelf with low profile books … but the bookshelf isn’t trying to hide the door from thieves, just make the door not stand out as much.
  • @b5maddog
As always, I really enjoyed the video. Loved seeing everything coming together and how “situations” get handled and solved. Great work Brad and crew!
  • Nice maneuvering to get that floor jack to move the safe door. 👍🎺
  • @zephyr1408
In the future Brad if the trim board Tom is using is bowed or warped you can Kerf the back and then 90% of the problem disappears. Tom will understand or should? That way if the customer states “ no lag bolts pls”. Just kerf?. Best of luck buddy!
  • One thing I don't like about Flair's pole barn is how they put the poles in the ground. Check out RR Building's channel. Kyle does a really great job of explaining why he uses wet-set brackets on pilings or concrete mounted brackets vs putting the poles in the ground in a video he released last week. That's just my personal preference, but ultimately it is Flair's building and it did turn out really nice.
  • @TheSir2005
That front door is a reason why we in Europe walk around with what we call a "universal building key" on jobsites. Its just a standard as having a tape measure.

Thanks for those updates!! Things are looking awesome!!!! That Pole Barn would be nice for you. Flair said he was planning on putting a water closet & sink in there. Also a second floor to the left of the back garage door. I think you need to tech him a few things about snowmobiles before he buys another. You're right I think he sold the two which was the best thing for him!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!!!
