That particular sausage, or mettwurst, is not actually from Russia but only called Russian Mettwurst as it's seasoned in a Russian style. This clip is 25 years old and the 'Russian thing' was never a thing as Russian Mettwurst is common in Finland, but now it somehow added an extra flavor to it all. 😅

The Russian sausage here refers to a specific type of sausage rather than this particular sausage here having been shipped from there (though in the video the cashier does imply it being literally from Russia, usually it's locally made). It is similar to metwurst (the Finnish word for it, 'meetvursti', derives from that) or salami. The recipe and preparing method spread to Finland from Russia, hence the Russian connotation to it.
