16-year-old shot in arm by Akron police officer according to Akron Police Chief

Akron Police Shooting: 3News reporter Neil Fischer was on the scene and confirmed the following information from Akron Police Chief Stephen Mylett:

A 16-year-old boy had a gun, along with two other adults in the backyard of a home in the area of Manchester Road and Longview Ave. The officers investigated and the boy raised his hand with the gun and a male police officer shot him in the hand. Chief Mylett says no more than two shots were fired. The officer has nine years of experience and was with a partner. No officers were injured.
