“Set your heart ablaze.” A simple line with a deep meaning. An old philosopher once said “To live in the present is peace.” Rengoku did exactly this. He never let any moment go to waste. Which is actually why he eats so excitedly. Every moment, even the simplest of things he enjoyed to the fullest and never took anything for granted. After the death of his mother, it opened his eyes that life is to short and everything must be enjoyed. “Set your heart ablaze” is symbolism for not just determination and never surrendering, it’s the embodiment to live in the present and never take life for granted. What a true legend.

Rengoku could never 1v1 Akaza unfortunatey. But he fufilied his duty. He didn't let anyone die. He died as a Hashira protecting the next generation. Rengoku was and still is the greatest embodiment of what it means to be a Hashira. He protected the next generation, he held off Akaza. He did his part. RIP you absolute beautiful demon slayer. This song works so well. "Best to give me your Loyalty, cause I'll be taking the world you see, you'll be calling me Royalty" Rengoku didn't care what others thought, he didn't let others decide what he could and could not be. He claimed ownership of his destiny and became it's ruler. He was a paragon to be certain. A true champion of the idea of self mastery and self acceptance. (Edit): I want to talk about how amazing this amv is the editing is spot on and Rengoku going through his flashback and remembering his motivation before fighting the impossible was the cherry on top. Needless to say, good job!
