Food Theory: I SOLVED Fanta’s Mystery Flavor!

Fun fact in Ireland (might be other countries too idk) fanta regularly has mystery flavours, not specifically a "halloween" mystery

In Italy already exists a flavour of Fanta that is based on bloody oranges, it's called "Fanta aranciata rossa" which literally translates to Fanta red orange juice, if you can find it it would be a more direct comparison

In other parts of the world, Fanta releases mystery flavours more frequently, not just on Halloween

Having so many people tasting "blue raspberry" definitely reminded me of the "Don't Trust Your TASTE" episode, where the colors of things could fool your sense of taste because of your expectations.

As an Italian, Matpat absoulutely KILLED the pronounciation of the film!

I find it really interesting how "You can't tell what it tastes like!" became a sales argument.

Fun fact from a movie theater employee who deals with the soda machines Matt references while making his guess as to the flavor combo; we do have flavor cartridges that add flavor options to every drink in the machine, but blueberry is not one of the options. We have grape cartridges, and lime cartridges, but no blue in the rainbow of flavors.

If you guys do this again next year, maybe have half the team not look at it before they taste it! If last year they colored it blue and it tasted like orange creamsicle, maybe they try to use color to trick you into thinking of flavors that normally match the color of the drink

In Australia we have a drinks company named Bundaberg that successfully sells a Sarsaparilla (ie. licorice flavoured). It is popular in our household, and the oldest in our house is 41.

okay so the process of figuring out the flavor was pretty cool, that was fun, but I find myself just so happy for matt that he gets to have two things he loves collide in the best way, airup and cola. like, seriously, that's so freaking great for him, and I hope that helps him with backing down off of so many sodas all the time. he's been prioritizing his health a lot and that's great, but still, those can't have been good for him to have so much of. I hope these pods do him, and many others, a lot of good. ☺💖

2:06 Not really related to the video, but I just noticed the Spy X Family spoof picture behind MatPat, the Game X Theory picture o his family, and that's just awesome and adorable!!

I first saw it at the movie theaters and you could see different colors mixing in it. It really tasted like Skittles to me.
